The major characteristic of successful entrepreneurs you can use today - Adrian Fleming

It’s great to have goals, it’s important to have ideas and it’s imperative that you have a system to follow if you want to be successful, but one consistent thing that successful entrepreneurs tend to do, which takes little or no resources is implement things fast. And implementation for me, I suggest it is for you too, is a balance between doing something new and understanding what’s possible. Not everything you implement will work so don’t expect it to, which is why speed of implementation is such a critical factor for successful entrepreneurs.
Speed of implementation can be everything. When you spot an opportunity grab it and take action because this is something only a small proportion of people do and that’s key.
If you have taken a Kolbe test, which by the way if you don’t know about or worse still do know about and haven’t done, you will most likely show up as what they call a high “Fast Start” personality and that’s great.
But here’s the thing. Serial entrepreneurs like me can do too many things and starting is one thing, but taking something to its logical conclusion is where the results come from. So much as I want you to learn how to spot profitable and relevant opportunities and then take action on them, I also want you to know when to put them to one side for the time being and focus on implementing things that matter.
Let me just take you through the elements at play when it comes to being a successful entrepreneur, this way when you use your hunger, passion and vision to take action and implement your ideas, you will have some basis on which to take that action.
So the first thing is that the components that matter when taking action are:
You – it’s amazing how many people fail to be what I call selfish when taking action. Only do something, as I say because you want to or because somebody is paying you too and preferably both, never feel forced or obliged to implement something, unless you have a legal or moral obligation too obviously.
Next I want you to be very clear on the market you are adding value to and therefore any promotional activity you do is right for that market. And by the way, if you need any help on marketing I’ve created a full hours worth of video training on this free which you can get via my website AdrianFleming.com, so I don’t want to take up time here, but what I will say is after you watch the training is that you will see why I believe there are an infinite number of marketing opportunities now and all you need to do is test some and find out what works for you and your specific needs. 14. So much as I want you to learn how to spot
profitable and relevant opportunities and then take
action on them…
15. …I also want you to know when to put them to one
side for the time being and focus on implementing
things that matter.
16. Let me just take you through the elements at play
when it comes to being a successful entrepreneur…
17. …this way when you use your hunger, passion
and vision to take action and implement your
ideas, you will have some basis on which to take
that action.
18. So the first thing is that the components that matter
when taking action are…
19. You – it’s amazing how many people fail to be
what I call selfish when taking action.
20. Only do something, as I say because you want to
or because somebody is paying you too and
preferably both…
21. …never feel forced or obliged to implement
something, unless you have a legal or moral
obligation too obviously.
22. Next I want you to be very clear on the market you
are adding value to and therefore any promotional
activity you do is right for that market.
23. And by the way, if you need any help on
marketing…
24. …I’ve created a full hours worth of video training
on this free which you can get via my website
AdrianFleming.com…
25. …so I don’t want to take up time here, but what I
will say is after you watch the training is that you
will see why I believe there are…
26. …an infinite number of marketing opportunities
now and all you need to do is test some and find
out what works for you and your specific needs.
27. I also need you to be aware of the impact
implementation will have on other people, this may
be customers, staff, friends and family…
28. …but you must appreciate that those around you
will be impacted by your implementation so make
sure you know…
29. …what impact your actions will have on others,
even if they could be negative for them, so long
as they are right for you.
30. You also need to be thinking about human
resources in what you implement, so take account
of this and plan accordingly.
32. Now as an entrepreneur you are motivated and as
such do too many things yourself and take on
things that would be best to delegate…
33. …but if you can use systems or systemise things
your speed of implementation can really benefit
you and generate results consistently and over
time too.
34. Obviously when implementing something there will
be changes and that’s fine because it’s a good
thing but here’s something you need to be aware
of…
35. …just moving outside of your comfort zone is
where you will most likely find you greatest
opportunities…
36. …so yes, being out of your comfort zone will be
uncomfortable but…
37. …it will also allow you to learn, develop and likely
profit from your experiences and as such continue
to develop your skills and ability.
38. Now you know that you should be implementing
things fast and that this will involve change and
being outside of your comfort zone…
39. …I want to give you some things to look out for
because minimising risk is another key skill I can
help you develop.
40. So first of all, when you implement things, be
mindful of creating stability as quickly as you can
too because when you manage this correctly…
41. …and it may require you to learn new things and
take advice from third parties, you are building a
strong base to grow on.
42. If you struggle to get stability in what you are
doing, step back and take a look at what’s causing
the variations and issues…
43. …and focus on them first, it will help you measure,
monitor and refine things faster.
44. Next is the fact that some of the things that will
work will be counter intuitive, so just because
that’s what others do doesn’t mean that you should
be doing it.
45. I also ways recommend that you see what’s
working and look to improve it.
46. Equally, you may be in a market or situation that
warrants lateral thinking, so again, relating to
being outside of your comfort zone…
47. …do assume that what you should do is not
necessarily in line with your initial thoughts and
assumptions.
48. And to just add to the aspects to consider, you
may be implementing things that create value, not
just money…
49. …so measure what happens rather than seek
validation for your ideas and implementation
because…
50. …when you implement something, as a test to
start with, understand what happens, why and
how best to refine it or even stop doing it…
51. …you can create a continual culture around
improvement and progress which will allow you to
profit and benefit from continually.
