An integrated transport management system is proposed to reduce traffic jams in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The system would free up 35% of road space and reduce travel times by 35%, as well as cut fuel use by 50%. Individuals could save 12,000 taka each year through reduced fuel costs and time savings of 510,000 hours citywide.
