EPM 2074 – Executing the Project
Period:
2016-Jan-13 2016-Jan-30
Unit Went well Ideas for improvement
Unit 3 – Quality
Assurance
22/01/2016
• Class Online – Sandee
tried to give real
examples and to
involve us into the
topic.
• Show positive and
negative points in the
templates developed by
the students.
• Give example using the
tools to perform Quality
Assurance.
Unit 6 –
Leadership
Theories and
Models
22/01/2016
• The definitions within
the slides were very
clear.
• Bob’s Leadership
Model that covers the
theories for the leader,
team work and the
employee is easy
learning and practice.
• Once identified the style
of leadership and
employee I missed an
exercise that would
help us to understand
how to deal with
different styles.
Unit 7 – Conflict
Management
22/01/2016
• The conception of
collaboration is very
important for solving
conflicts healthily. Bob
covered very well that
perspective.
• Lack of conduction
during the exercise in
class. I felt like we
missed the focus and
we didn’t use the
techniques learned in
class.
• The exercise should
have been based on
the techniques learned.

Project Team
Period:

Unit 3 –
Developing the
Project Team an
overview
05/02/2016
• It was good to know
what the market
expects from a Project
Manager. Sandee
gave to us many tips.
• Online class didn’t
cover all the lessons
content in Bob slides. It
feels like we didn’t get
everything we should.
• Online class should be
a complement of
regular classes.
Unit 5 – Self-
managed and self-
motivated work
team
18/02/2016
• Sandee gave good
examples how
individual desires can
motivate us
professionally and
personally.
• Online class didn’t
cover the theory. The
class was more like a
repetition of Unit 4.
• All the classes must be
delivered in class and
the online class just a
complement.
Unit 6 – Managing
Stakeholders
engagement
10/02/2016
• Bob mixed his
Leadership model with
the Stakeholder
engagement process
and created a wider
model that cover now
also the stakeholder. It
is an easy learning
and practice model.
Good for the daily at
work.
• An exercise to practice
the techniques is
welcome and
necessary.

Unit 2 – Work
Authorization and
Work Performance
Reporting System
24/02/2016
• The time spent for
delivering the content
was enough and the
delivery was effective.
• Show positive and
negative points in the
templates developed by
the students.
Unit 3 – Scope
Validation and
Scope Control
Processes
24/02/2016
• The importance of the
process and its
consequences were
well delivered.
• The content divided by
authors helps us to get
ready for PMP exam.
• The time spent to talk
about the Control
Scope was too short. I
would like to see an
example of using
Variance Analysis.
Unit 4 – Quality
Control
26/02/2016
• The sequence of the
process was well
explained and its
connection to Validate
Scope was important
to understand next
Units (Project
Closure).
• Technique learned –
Pareto was good tool
that can be used in
different business.
• Unit was given too fast.
It is a mandatory topic
and most theory was
just said – no example
and no explanation.
• Give more examples of
different types of
business and exercises
to understand the
process and the
techniques.

Resources
Period:

Unit 3 – Control
Risk
09/03/2016
• The time spent to
deliver the content was
too short.
• The time spent to
deliver the content was
too short.
• Some students have
more experiences than
others and Bob
explained the topic as
everybody knew the
same and he skips
some steps.
Unit 4 – Control
Procurement and
Contract
Administration
09/03/2016
• The time spent for
delivering the content
was enough and the
delivery was effective
• Show positive and
negative points in the
templates developed by
the students.
Unit 5 – MS
Project
11/03/2016
• The time given for
concluding the
assignment was pretty
good.
• The exercise we
developed gave a
good idea of a real
project.
• We were expecting an
extensive lecture and
step by step
demonstration. We had
time for that.
• At least one exercise
should have been done
in the data show.
