application of nanaocarriers in delivery of biotechnologicals
1. Application of Nanocarriers in
Delivery of Biotechnologicals
Presented by,
Mr. MEHETRE AKSHAY DILIPRAO

2016-2017
Shri Bhagwan College of
Pharmacy ,Aurangabad
2. DEFINATION:-
Nanocarriers are colloidal particulate
system with size between 10-1000nm.
They have been successfully utililzed in
the diagnosis,treatment and monitoring of
various diseases.
NANOCARRIERS
4. DEFINATION:-
Nanocapsule is a nano-
vesicular systems that exhibit a typical
core-shell structure in which the drug is
confined to a reservoir or within a cavity
surrounded by a polymer membrane or
coating.
NANOCAPSULE
5. Fig. 1. Different nanocapsular structures: (a) liquid core, (b) polymer
matrix and (c) active substance in molecular dispersion
6. In cancer
Food usage
Nutraceuticals
Ethyl alcohol absorption
Self healing materials
Applications OF NANOCAPSULE
7. Nanoparticle – any particle that is sized between 1 and 100
nanometers (in terms of diameter)
The use of nanoparticles
allows one to change the
pharmacokinetic properties
of the drug without
changing the active
compound.
nanoparticles
8. Nanoparticles for oral delivery of peptides and
proteins-
Nanoparticles for occular application
Nanoparticles for pulmonary treatment
Nanoparticles in treatment of vascular
thrombosis
Applications of nanoparticles
9. Nanoemulsion is a heterogeneous system and it
consist of two immisible phase, one phase is oil
phase ,other is aqueous phase, while the droplet
is of sub micron size range of 5-200nm.
Nanoemulsions are submicron sized emulsion
that is under extensive investigation as drug
carriers for improving the delivery of
therapeutic agents
nanoemulsion
10. Use in Cosmetic
Use as anti-microbial agent
Parenteral delivery
Oral delivery
Ocular & pulmonary delivery
Nanoemulsion in cancer therapy
Applications of nanoemulsion
11. It is a very small liposomes.
It is a so small, in the Nanometer range
Defination:-
Nanodevices existing symbiotically inside
biological cells, doing mechanosynthesis &
disassembly for it and replicating with the cell
similar to nanochondria.
NANOSOMES
12. Phospholipids- lecithin, water soluble & oil soluble
ingredients
Vitamin-C,vit-E ,sod.citrate, pot.malate.
Some examples of nanosomes.
13. In cosmetics- In skin care ,hair care
Targeting
Diagnosis
Therapy
APPLICATIONS OF NANOSOMES
14. It is a tree like ,highly branched,
polymeric compounds.
It is a polymer than branches “a tiny
molecular structure that interacts with
cells enabling scientists to probe,
diagnose, cure or manipulate them on a
nanoscale”.
dendrimers
15. In delivery of drug
Useful in therapetic agents in the prevention of
bacterial & viral infections.
As coating agents
Gene therapy
Applications of dendrimers
16. Carbon nanotubes are allotropes of carbon
with a cylindrical nano stucture
Nanotubes can be single walled carbon
nanotubes or multiwalled carbon nanotubes
in concentric fashion.
These are tubular structure like a sheet of
graphite rolled in to a cylinder capped at one/
both ends by a bulky ball
NANOTUBES
17. Gene therapy
Cancer therapy
Vaccine production
Applications of nanotubes
18. These are very finely colloid, biphasic,
dispersed, solid drug particles in an
aqueous vehicle.
Size below 1 meter
Nanosuspension
19. Oral drug delivery
Parental drug delivery
Pulmonary drug delivery
Ocular drug delivery
Applications of nanosuspension
