- Was bedeutet Digitalisierung für Organisationen?
Was lernen wir daraus?

Roles haveclearduties andauthorities
Role duties
based on:
• Purpose &
accountabilities
• Tensions
• Activities
Golden rule: Take any actions or decision useful to enact purpose or accountabilities (except spending resources)
• Enact role
• Solve tensions
• Execute projects
• Inbox and meetings over
execution
• Circle needs over
individual goals
• Track progress
• Share priorities
• Share estimates

Tensions represent theneed for development
Tension:
The feeling you get when you sense a gap
between “what is” and “what could be”

Three key differences for employees inanorganization
Dynamic roles
Roles are defined around the work,
not people, and are updated
regularly. People fill several roles
Distributed authority
Authority distributed to a series of
interconnected but autonomous
teams. Decisions are made locally
Transparent rules
Everyone is bound by the same
rules, CEO included. Rules are
visible to all and allow to act
With
Holacracy
Job profiles
Each person has exactly one job.
Job profiles are imprecise, rarely
updated, and often irrelevant
Delegated authority
Managers loosely delegate authority.
Ultimately, their decision always
trumps others
Office politics
Implicit rules are hard to change,
favor people “in the know” and
trigger power struggles
Traditional
Organizations

Editor's Notes

Making Transparent:
Tracking all projects and next actions for your role
Tracking any tensions for your Role
(on request) Share your projects & next-actions and their relative priority
(on request) Share projections (a rough estimate is sufficient)
Prioritizing:
Processing incoming messages over execution
Requested meetings over execution
Circle needs over individual goals
Processing:
Identify and try to solve tensions
Consider how to enact your role’s purpose and accountabilities
Consider how to execute projects and next actions
(on request ) take on new projects and next actions
(on request ) process any of your accountability or projects / next actions
