3. • A system of Government that
has no restraints on the power
exercised.
• There is no limit or restriction
on the power.
• It is monarchical in nature =
CENTRALISED + MILITARISED +
REPRESSIVE.
Absolutist Form of Government
4. • A vision of a society which is so ideal that it couldn’t exist in reality.
• It is a state of society and not a form of Government.
• It is imaginary and considered to be perfect.
• It could be a society where people do not require Government, i.e.,
Citizens helps each other.
• For example, a world which is free from crimes, greed, etc.

enjoys a sense of collective
belongingness and common identity.
• It evolves from either common history,
struggles, descent or action of leaders.
• India has always been a Nation state.
• Ernst Renan proposed the definition of
Nation State.
