1. 5 takbir excluding the one for the
standing
2. Al Fatihah and separating the
takbir by pausing

From sunset of the night before,
everywhere until the imam starts the
Eid prayers with the opening takbir
For Eidul Adha, recommended to
say takbir after each prayer, fardh or
Sunnah or nafl
It lasts till the asr of the last three
days after Eid
10. Sunnan of Eid prayers:
1. Eat something before Salatul Eid,
except for Eidul Adha
2. Take a bath and wear perfume
3. Arriving early in the masjed
4. Coming and going back to home
from a different path
5. Makruh for Imam to pray nafl
before Eid prayer, but not for others
11. ZAKAT UL FITR
Zakat is a portion of our wealth,
it is the right of Allaah, and is
given to the poor people.
Zakat means: purification,
blessing, growth
12. ALSO TO BE PAID FOR THOSE HE IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Two types of Zakat:
1- Zakatul Fitr 2- Zakat on an annual
basis
1-Zakatul Fitr is to be paid by:

13. It is due by the last sunset of
Ramadan
One cannot pay on behalf of his
independent family members
Starts with himself, then his wife,
young children, father, and mother,
and then one’s adult son
(dependent)
14. Zakat is paid in the form of local staple,
food, not money
Makruh to delay it
Zakat is still to be paid and is separate
from Zakatul Fitr
15. Zakatul Fitr should be in the hands
of the poor BEFORE the eid Prayer,
as it won’t reach them on time!
Sending money overseas is allowed
as long as it is done BEFORE and is
guaranteed that it will reach ON
TIME
HARAM to skip this Zakat
Allowed to give money, but the
spirit of Zakatul Fitr is to give FOOD
21. It is a confirmed Sunnah
If you take an oath to slaughter
one of your animals, then it
becomes wajib
22. If you promise to sacrifice one for
Allah then that becomes wajib
Conditions of the one sacrificing
are that he be a Muslim, sane,
adult, and has enough wealth
23. It is permissible for 7 people
to partake in the slaughtering
of one animal
24. ANIMALS SHOULD BE FREE OF CUTS

the required age – 6 yrs for a

25. TIME FOR SACRIFICE
At a specified time, from after the
prayer of Eid till the 3rd day of
tashreeq, 13th dhul Hijjah
1/3 for the family, 1/3 for the poor,
and 1/3 for friends and neighbors
26. WHOEVER SELLS THE SKIN OF HIS UDHIHYA, THERE’S
NO UDHIHYA FOR HIM
The skin can be given as a
charity or used
Cannot give the skin to the
butcher or for sale
27. SUNNAN OF UDHIHYA
The one who wants to offer must
not cut his hair, nails or any part
of the skin from 1st Dhul Hijjah till
he offers sacrifice
Better to slaughter by himself, or
if not, then should be present
