2. Informasi Rinci yang terdapat pada Teks Bahasa Inggris
Sesuai dengan namanya, informasi
jenis ini adalah informasi yang baru bisa
diketahui setelah kita membaca suatu
teks dengan rinci atau seksama.
Terkadang informasi ini tersebar disana-
sini dan pembaca harus
mengumpulkannya atau
memperhatikann hubungan antar
informasi dari kalimat yang satu dengan
yang lain di dalam teks.
3. Misalnya dalam teks kita jumpai kalimat-
kalimat berikut " ... Last week I went to Bali
together with my friend, Tom. He is an American
... We went there by car ...". Dari informasi ini
dibuatlah pertanyaan yang berbunyi " How did the
writer go to Bali ? ". Untuk menjawab soal ini,
kita harus mencari informasi rinci dari informasi
ke Bali dengan memperhatikan kata tanya " How
" [ dengan apa ]. Dari kalimat yang datang
selanjutnya dalam teks itu, kita dapat mengetahui
jawaban dari soal tersebut yaitu " By car " [ naik
mobil ]. Jadi, tanpa membaca dengan seksama,
kita tidak dapat menemukan informasi ini.

6. 1. INFORMASI RINCI TERSURAT
Informasi rinci tersurat dalam teks
adalah informasi yang tertera atau
terdapat dalam teks tapi untuk
mencarinya perlu membaca teks secara
seksama. Biasanya informasi ini tercecer di
sana sini dan kita harus
mengumpulkannya. Ciri khas pertanyaan
ini di antaranya memakai kata tanya
why.
Selain itu ada pula pendapat lain yang
terkait dengan informasi jenis ini. Misalkan
ada kalimat yang berbunyi semalam saya
pergi ke Bogor. Informasi ke Bogor naik
apa, dengn siapa dan mengunjugi siapa
menjadi informasi rinci.
7. Bagaimana menemukan informasi
rinci tersurat dalam teks?
Untuk menemukan informasi ini tentu saja
kita harus memahami pertanyaannya terlebih
dahulu.Misal pertanyaan itu memakai kata
tanya why, maka kita perlu membaca kalimat-
kalimat dalam teks yang merupakan alasan dari
pertanyaan tersebut yang tempatnya bisa jadi
berada di kalimat lain atau paragraph lain.

8. 2. INFORMASI RINCI TERSIRAT
Informasi Rinci Tersirat adalah informasi yang
menanyakan kejelian dan ketelitian mencerna
informasi dalam bacaan. Jawaban dapat ditemukan
dengan cara mengecekkan satu-persatu pilihan
kalimat jawaban ke teks. Hati-hati dengan lawan kata
dan pertentangan kalimat. Jawaban dapat ditemukan
dengan menemukan satu jawaban yang tidak ada di
dalam teks/atau justru hanya ada satu-satunya.
Biasanya 4 pilihan kalimat jawaban tidak dapat
ditemukan di teks atau hanya ada satu informasi yang
ada di bacaan.

Cara Menjawabnya Secara umum:
1. Baca dan pahami pertanyaan dengan baik.
2. Baca dengan cermat teks, terutama bagian
yang ditanyakan.
3. Cari kalimat di dalam teks yang ada
pertanyaannya.
4. Baca sekitar kalimat yang ditanyakan di dalam
teks.
5. Tentukan jawabannya.

Informasi Rinci adalah informasi yang menuntut
kejelian kita dalam mencari informasi yang tersebar
di teks. Biasanya ditandai pertanyaan WHY dan
HOW atau pertanyaan yang mengandung kata
True dan Not True atau Wrong.

Dear Nan,
We are having a great a holiday here on the Gold Coast. Yesterday we went to
the Movie World.
When we got up in the morning, it looked like rain. After a while the cloud
disappeared. And it became a sunny day. We then decided to go to the Movie World.
The first ride I went on was Lethal Weapon. Next I saw the Police Academy show.
After that I had lunch as I was really hungry. Meanwhile, Mum and Kelly queued for the
Batman ride.
About one oâclock we got a light shower of rain but it cleared up soon after. We
then went on all the other rides.

15. THE SMARTEST PARROT
Once upon time, a man had a wonderful parrot. There was no
other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word.
The parrot would not say the name of the place where it was born. The
name of the place was Catano.
The man felt excited having the smartest parrot but he could not
understand why the parrot would not say Catano. The man tried to teach
the bird to say Catano, however the bird did not say the word.
At first, the man was very nice to the bird but then he got very
angry. âYou stupid bird!â pointed the man to the parrot. âWhy canât you
say the word? Say Catano! Or I will kill youâ the man said angrily.
Although he tried hard to teach, the parrot would not say it. Then the
man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over; âSay Catano or
Iâll kill youâ. The bird kept not to say the word of Catano.
One day, after he had been trying so many times to make the bird
say Catano, the man really got very angry. He could not bear it. He
picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken house. There were four
old chickens for next dinner âYou are as stupid as the chickens. Just
stay with themâ Said the man angrily. Then he continued to humble;
âYou know, I will cut the chicken for my meal. Next it will be your turn, I
will eat you too, stupid parrotâ. After that he left the chicken house.
The next day, the man came back to the chicken house. He
opened the door and was very surprised. He could not believe what he
saw at the chicken house. There were three death chickens on the floor.
At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming at the
last old chicken; âSay Catano or Iâll kill youâ.

Bees are flying insects closely related to wasps and ants, and
are known for their role in pollination and for producing honey and
beeswax. There are nearly 20,000 known species of bees in nine
recognized families though many are undescribed and the actual

is Megachile pluto, a leafcutter bee whose females can attain a
length of 39 mm (1.5"). Members of the family Halictidae, or sweat
bees, are the most common type of bee in the Northern
Hemisphere, though they are small and often mistaken for wasps or
flies.
