Client:
Saint Louis 250 Anniversary (STL250)
Purpose:
Campaign celebrated the 250th anniversary of
Saint Louis by creating virtual scavenger hunt
showcasing all 250 real world cake locations using
the CandyBAR toolset.
CandyBAR’s custom app delivered historical
content for each cake location. User shared their
experiences on social media, and collected points
for checking in at each cake sculpture location.
Campaign Highlights:
App created civic pride for St. Louis and delivered
the city’s history in a unique and memorable way.
Numbers:
92,000 accounts created with 250 active in-app
locations used.
16. The city of Saint Louis, MO reached out to us and
asked if we could help families and tourists be
guided to 250 4ft tall, actual fiberglass cakes that
local artists painted that were placed in historical
relevant locations.
This was a year long campaign, during the winter
months the app usage was slow as this was a GPS
use case “outside” and during the summer was
the highest use with the fall being less used. The
city expected about 30k of users, the campaign
brought in just over 90k of active users.
