2.  The word of statute in English law is now
synonymous with an Act of Parliament.
 In England every statutes must be made by the
king with the assent of the Lords and Commons.
 A statutes or an Act of Parliament is will of
legislature.
 A Bill is the draft of an Act of Parliament of any
State submitted to the Legislature for discussion
and to pass it is an Act.

3.  Statutory interpretation is the act or process of
interpreting and applying legislation.
 This is also referred to as statutory
construction.
 Various tools and methods of statutory
interpretation, including traditional canons of
statutory interpretation, legislative history, and
purpose are used by the judges for finding the
meaning of statutes.

considered as the least problematic method in

 Purposive Approach -Made to make sure
legislation covers issues today as well as in
future.
