such as questionnaires, market surveys, interviews with experts and professionals, articles
reading and evaluating industry statistical data. After collection of data, we integrated it in our
business plan accordingly
First of all we conducted our research which includes our firm’s orientation, our primary goals,
mission statement, division of different responsibilities among the group members, SWOT
analysis, our competitive edge, how to incorporate internet facilities and social responsibilities in
our plan, effects of external environment on our business, identifying our key competitors and
how to use internet to beat the competition.
We analyze the marketing opportunities by identifying our consumer and business markets and
objectives behind choosing the fashion industry, market segmentation and choosing our target
markets, positioning strategies and internet utilization in doing so, answering the basic questions
of 5W’s and 1H. After analyzing all the market research we have done, we developed the plan
for our products manufacturing. The plan includes product descriptions, brand name, brand logo,
company’s URL, packaging issues, return policies, product life cycle strategies, diffusion and
service qualities as well as the key to success in the customer relationship management both
offline and online. It also includes our operational plans
Next comes the distribution decisions in which we incorporate our market research data in our
marketing plan. It includes distribution methods, costs and depth; also includes warehouse

The Jewelry business gained the status of an industry in Pakistan a short time back. Initially the

Macro economic factors currently prevalent are not too favorable for the Pakistani gold jewelry
industry. The depreciation of the rupee, high levels of inflation, high cost of borrowing dampens
demand.
The jewelry industry has remained largely unorganized and underdeveloped over the years due
to the domination of family-owned jewelers, dearth of investment and lack of government
involvement in the enhancement of the industry.
On the demand side of gold jewelry, there has been a steady decline due to rising gold prices.
Consequently, the incentives for private investment in the industry have been low. Profit margins
have declined for the jewelers and the only security for them remains in the value of gold they
hold. Marketing techniques used have remained limited and exports have played a minor role in
the industry. On a large part, this has been because the industry is so unorganized and
undocumented.
However, steps are being taken by the government to enrich the industry. Training and
development of the labor involved in the various processes is being carried out by the Pakistan
Gems and Jewelry Development Corporation (PGJDC). Moreover, introduction of international
practices such as Hallmarking and Computer-Aided Design & Manufacturing is being initiated.
Also, the government is working on not only bringing the latest technology and machinery into
the industry but also on promoting local production of the machinery.
Hopefully, the stagnant growth of the jewelry industry in the past will be overcome and gold
jewelry will emerge as a symbol of Pakistani excellence.

Raw materials needed:
The materials for Dough craft are inexpensive. It included Paper and magazines of different
colors. The basic ingredients of dough are ordinary plain household flour, without raising agent,
plus household table salt, glue and tap water. However, getting the proportions correct does help
and can vary according to the recipe.
No special equipment is required to get results, but with extra equipment you can go to town
with ideas. Cookie cutters speed up the process, sugar craft cutters are even better.
To get started you need a large mixing bowl, a rolling pin, some baking trays, silicone paper, a
knife, a skewer or cocktail stick and a small scissors. Whilst you can use special sugar craft or
cookie cutters, these are not essential to create dough objects. If you do use them, wash and dry
them well after use, as salt residue can cause metal cutters to rust quickly. You will also need
some corn flour (cornstarch) or flour to dust dough items that need to be rolled, rather than
molded.
Preparation Process o dough:
Method 1
Combine 1 cup of cornstarch, 2 cups of baking soda and 1 1/4 cups of water in a pot. Stir the
mixture over low heat and keep stirring until the mixture is the consistency of mashed potatoes.
Don't let it burn. Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool slightly. Gather the mixture

together with a spoon in a rough sphere. Turn the ball of dough out onto a floured surface. When
it has cooled enough to handle, knead until smooth.
Method 2:
Cornstarch Dough: Mix 1 cup of cornstarch and ½ cup Original Glue in a plastic bag.
Kneed dough into a ball. If dough is too dry, slowly add more glue. Tape wax paper to work
surface. Dust wax paper and rolling pin with cornstarch Place your pattern on dough. Using a
craft knife cut dough around image and removes. Smooth edges with fingers. You can use a
palette knife to create indentions and designs in the dough. Let all dough dry. Using glue dough
to your project. Clothespins are useful to hold in place until dry
Manufacturing Process:
Paper
Paper bead jewelry is an inexpensive project the whole family can do. The shape, color and size
of the beads are up to you, unlike store-bought beads. Jewelry made with paper beads can look
sophisticated.
Creating Your Beads of paper:
Mark ½-inch strips along the side of the paper from top to bottom. Cut out a triangle-shaped
piece of paper, starting your cut on the mark. Make 20 to 30 triangles from the paper. The
number of paper beads you'll need depends on the size of the other beads you're using.
Lay the paper with the side you don't want to show facing up. Lay the toothpick at the wide end
of the triangle and roll the paper around the toothpick. Keep the paper rolled tight.
Apply a dot of glue to the pointed end of the paper to make it stick to the bead. Add another dot
of glue if it doesn't stick to the bead. Slide the paper bead toward the end of the toothpick, but
don't take it off. Apply clear nail polish to the whole paper bead. Stick the toothpick into the
piece of Styrofoam or in the container to dry.

Cut a 9-inch-long piece of beading wire. If your wrist is bigger, cut a 10- or 11-inch-long piece.
Slide the wire through the crimp bead and clasp loop. Pass the end back through the crimp bead.
Slide crimp bead up to the base of the clasp loop. Crimp the bead.
String your beads and paper beads onto the beading wire in any order that looks pleasing to you.
Cornstarch Dough:
Cornstarch dough is nice and smooth, perfect for making beads and pendants for jewelry. The
dough is simple to make and shape into any form you want. It gives you the flexibility to design
anything your imagination can create. With this dough, you're not limited to the colors, shapes
and designs of store-bought beads. First make the dough and form the beads. Then paint them
and string them into jewelry.
Creating Your Beads and Pendants:
Using your homemade cornstarch dough, shape the dough into beads. Make a hole through each
bead with a toothpick. Twist the toothpick around to ensure there will be enough room for your
cord to pass through. Hold the bead up to the light and look through the hole to make sure it's a
nice, clean hole. Roll out some dough to make your pendant. Use a knife or your fingers to cut
out a special shape. You can make hearts, animals, stars or whatever you like. You'll need a hole
