Introduction:- Ethnobotany is an interdisciplinary
science. Therefore, in a position to contribute to
development of the wealth of traditional knowledge of the
indigenous people concerning their natural system
environment, their knowledge on utilization and
maintenance of plant resources on a long-term basis without
damaging or destroying their habitats.
The ethnic plant wealth may be divided into the
following group on the basis of their uses
(1) Wild edible plants ( food plant )
(2) Ethno medicinal plants
(3) Fibre and floss yielding plants
(4) Oil yielding plant
(5) Dye yielding plant
(6) Ethno toxic and fish poison plant
(7) Timber and wood work
(8) Plant used in basketry and brooms.
