Custom Projects Overview- Top Notch Richmond
1. Custom Web Site Applications Frank Petrov BCS Website Services Richmond, VA www.bcswebsiteservices.com
2.
3. topnotcrichmond.com Can BCS implement an online directory of pre-screened service providers for this startup company? Sure, as long as we can create the system from scratch- there is no off the shelf solution for this type of project.
4.
5. Administration topnotchrichmond.com needed specific functionality included in the administrative area in order to effectively manage a large number of advertisers, so we built a custom solution.
6. Zip Code Management The administrator can manage all zip codes in the service area so that changes or additions are easily accomplished.
7. Category Management Central to the success of the web site is the ability for consumers to easily navigate the service provider categories. The administrator can add any desired categories, with unlimited depth subcategories, using an interface enhanced with AJAX technology to make the job easy.
8. Service Provider Management With hundreds of advertisers coming on board, the administrator will need to be able to quickly find, edit, and add new companies. This is easy to accomplish in our interface.
9. Service Provider Management These details show that the administrator can add all the advertiser details quickly and easily. Note that there is a text editor available for the company description content, so that the administrator can format this content as needed. Once again, we added AJAX technology so that the Category and Service Area management is quick and efficient.
10. New Request Management Visitors to the web site can apply or nominate a service provider for inclusion. The administrator gets an email notification, and all details are available for administrator review. Best of all, when the administrator accepts a new company, the visitor-entered details are automatically saved, reducing data entry.
11. How it Works A visitor to the web site simply selects a service category and enters their zip code to begin reviewing service providers. Note that visitors can also browse all categories if desired.
12. How it Works The web site returns a list of all matching service providers based on the search parameters set by the visitor. Note that “wildcard” searches simply display all advertisers at random.
13. How it Works In the company details screen, the consumer gets all the details for the company. The visitor can easily contact the company via a web form, recommend the company to a friend, and rate the company’s service. If there is a coupon offering, the consumer can also print the coupon to use when service is rendered.
14. Project Completion After <60 days of development the system was put through a rigorous testing phase by both the client and BCS. Bugs were corrected, and the web site went live mid-March 2009.
