Alice Meadows discusses how openness and cooperation can build resilience in scholarly communications. Resilience refers to an organization's ability to adapt to changing environments. Openness in research infrastructure makes it more resilient by improving access, reuse and collaboration. Cooperation through initiatives like Crossref and ORCID also builds resilience by supporting interoperability and helping organizations work together. Two case studies further illustrate how cooperation has increased resilience in scholarly communications.
