2. Baum Blvd Automotive
Our Practices Include:
• Proper repair and maintenance of your engine will ensure the
most complete combustion of the fuel used which minimizes
harmful pollutants and maximizes fuel mileage.
• Repair and maintenance on hybrid and alternate fuel vehicles
(biodiesel & compressed natural gas).
• We recycle ALL automotive fluids including oil, antifreeze,
transmission fluid, etc.
• We recycle ALL plastic and cardboard materials.
• We recycle tires through established recycling companies
that insure that they DO NOT end up in landfills.
• Whenever possible, we eliminate aerosol cans by using
refillable containers that use compressed air as the propellant
• We use an aqueous (water) based brake cleaner instead of
the petroleum/chemical based cleaners.
3. Where do your tires go at Baum
Blvd. Automotive?
We recycle our tires through Liberty Tire Recycling.
Founded in 2002, Liberty Tire Recycling processes
over 140 million tires annually. Keeping 1.5 billion
pounds of non-biodegradable rubber out of landfills,
they are the premier tire recycling provider in North
America.
4. Tires and the Environment
It is estimated by the EPA that only 35% of
all tires in the US are recycled today.
Tires pose significant threats to the
environment when not properly disposed of.
Prior to the PA Waste Tire Act of 1996, there were an
estimated 36 million waste tires in Pennsylvania alone.
Ensure that your tires don’t end up in a
landfill by dealing only with reputable
dealers and mechanics.
