5. Inside the Police Box
Welcome to the Tardis
where the outside is small
and the inside is big
It's infinite, it seems
With a library and trees
Mysteries await
and so do we,
as we travel around
far and wide
Inside this box,
the greatest things happen
as we move
through time,
in the flick of a switch
Come join me,
will you,
I'm in need of a companion
For it is best,
never to travel alone. Doctor who Poems
6. While you may know all of the Different

8. The Daleks
The Daleks are a fictional extraterrestrial race of mutants in the British science fiction
television series Doctor Who, created by the megalomaniacal scientist Davros of the planet
Skaro to be an emotionless "master race" bent on universal conquest and domination, utterly
without pity, compassion or remorse. Read more here
9. The Cybermen
The Cybermen were originally a wholly organic species of humanoids originating
on Earth's twin planet Mondas that began to implant more and more artificial
parts into their bodies as a means of self-preservation. Read more here
10. The Great Intelligence
When Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart asked the Doctor in The Web of Fear what the Great Intelligence
was he responded by saying, “Well, I wish I could give you a precise answer. Perhaps the best way to
describe it is a sort of formless, shapeless thing floating around in space like a cloud of mist, only with
a mind and will”. Read more here and here
11. The Master
Like the Doctor, The Master has worn many bodies and faces over the years. Inspired by Sherlock Holmes’
arch-enemy Moriarty, the original version of the Master was introduced as one of the Doctor’s oldest friends and
colleagues who, like him and other friends of theirs, was a Time Lord who adopted an academic title after turning
their back on the planet Gallifrey and its many rules. While the Doctor sought to explore the universe, the Master
saw exploration as a means to conquest, believing that unleashing chaos on innocent planets was not a bad way
to learn interesting things. Read more here
12. Rassilon was the founder of Time Lord society on the planet Gallifrey and its first
leader, as Lord High President. Read more about this nemesis and how he was
converted to be a cyber-leader

14. Doctor Who is a fairytale, with
fairytale logic about this
wonderful man in this big blue
box who at the beginning of
every story lands somewhere
where there is a problem.
~ Neil Gaiman ~
15. He's just really unlikely as
a hero — which makes him
so brilliant, I think, because
he's like this mad
professor.
~ Karen Gillan ~
16. A lot of our heroes depress me. But you know,
when they made this particular hero, they didn't
give him a gun, they gave him a screwdriver to fix
things. They didn't give him a tank or a warship or
an X-wing fighter, they gave him a call box from
which you can call for help. And they didn't give
him a superpower or pointy ears or a heat
ray...they gave him two hearts. And that's an
extraordinary thing. There will never come a time
when we don't need a hero like the Doctor.
~ Steven Moffat ~
17. The greatest science fiction
series of all time is Doctor Who!
And I'll take you all on, one-by-one
or all in a bunch to back it up!
~ Harlan Ellison ~
