Personal statement
I am a qualified Level 3 Childcare Practitioner/Assistant, with 7 years’ experience within a
nursery setting environment. I was employed as a childcare assistant and gained the Level 3
whilst working in the nursery, this was very challenging, as I had to be flexible in both my home
and working environment, to fit in my assignments. I have a positive and can-do attitude. I am
very enthusiastic and have an energetic attitude about working with children. I have gained a
variety of skills in my role, these are:
Key Skills
The ability to effectively communicate with children, parents/carers, staff and

Good organisational skills by working to deadlines with progress reports, observations
and other admin work.

I like to read on my kindle and love fiction stories about Liverpool in the War from authors
such as June Francis, Katie Flynn, Lyn Andrews. I like listening to music from 1950’s to
the present day. I love entering competitions and have been doing this for years, winning
a variety of prizes. I am positive, and have determination when entering competitions, I
believe having this attitude helps me in winning prizes.
