Objective: I am an electrically biased Systems Engineer with overall 10 years dynamic experience of rolling stock
from a new build perspective and signaling from a refurbishment perspective. I have worked within Installation,
testing and commissioning, Retrofit, Preventive & corrective maintenance for 6 years & within Designand Validation
for 4 years and am looking to further progress my career by moving into a project lead role.
Summary
As an engineer I am well versed with Propulsion, Brake, Door and HVAC system w.r.t Testing and
commissioning. I have experience of working in India, Singapore and Egypt, where I have the
experience to deal with both Indian as well as foreign nationals.
Below are the list of Projects and overall responsibility:
1. Cairo Metro, Egypt: General consultant, Rolling Stock from Molinari Rail AG.
 Working as Lead engineer working with NAT (National Authority for Tunnels), managing a team
of engineers to deliver 20 new trains for Cairo Metro Line 1.
 Manufacturing supervision & audits of nine train sets built in Egypt, (Technology Transfer)
 Reviewing all technical and contract related submissions by the Contractor (Hyundai Rotem)
 Managing type, FAT (Static) & SAT (Dynamic) testing, Lead the Experimental Working Period
(EWP) and final acceptance issue closure and handover to client.
 Reviewing of all the maintenance manuals submitted by the contractor and Supervise the
Maintenance service check A- 15day check and B-90 day check.
 Chairing production, Maintenance and FRACAS meetings and preparation of MoMs.
 Monthly progress reporting and regular official communications to alert the client to impending
technical, safety, reliability, delivery schedule issues.
2. Singapore Metro: Managing Design, installation and Validation for Signalling system
CBTC(Thales, Seltarc) from L&T Technology Services, India
 Responsible for delivering Schematic, wiring diagram and cable assembly drawing, BOM, wiring
list for the prototype of 5 different vehicles (KSF, SIEMENS, CMEC, RGV, SCHOMA) with managing
a team of 6 engineers within the stipulated time frame.
 Responsible for Installation, design validation, Prepare and review the Static PICO of 1st
5 KHI
Trains at Singapore.
3. Delhi Metro, India: Managing Installation, Testing & commissioning, detail design review and
validation of proposed design changes in Rolling Stock domain in Bombardier Transportation.
 Managing a team of 4 engineers and 16 technicians for carrying out Installation, testing and
commissioning of 1st 20 Bombardier Movia Trains.
 Responsible for design review, validation and execution of more than 200 ERs and 100 FCs in the
fleet of 50 6-cars and 40 8-cars Bombardier Movia trains in 4 different depots with a team of 10
engineers and 50 technicians.
 Develop maintain and control the project plan & schedule, Track progress against base line
schedule, Create progress reports for Retrofit, budget and resource allocation, develop the
critical path, resolve inconsistencies of schedule, Produce weekly and monthly progress report.
Effectively communicate key information to appropriate stake holders.

standards: Door control unit, Brake control unit, Air conditioning control Panels, Central Control unit,
compressor, coupler, Auxiliary power supply unit, Battery, Pantograph
 Supervision of the following FAT(Factory Acceptance Test):
Bogie and Car body: Ultrasonic test, Magnetic test,

Audit final inspection of the trainset to ensure all the safety critical defects to be rectified by the supplier
before train hand over.
Maintain a Post production master punch list for any open items related to testing, faults, inspection and design
issue. Further follow up with the client for the closure of the same.
 Reviewing all technical and contract related submissions by the Contractor (Hyundai Rotem)
 Reviewing of all the maintenance manuals submitted by the contractor and advise for any improvements if
required

 Preparing daily reports and conducts failure analysis of the faults and rectifies them.
Retrofit and Fleet Check (FC) Execution
 Responsible for execution of more than 200 ERs and 100 FCs in the fleet of 50 6-cars and 40 8-cars Bombardier
Movia trains in 4 different depots with a team of 10 engineers and 50 technicians.
 Review design drawings, specification and customer requirements for engineering design change release and
processes.
 Preparation of technical protocol which includes methods statement, material and tool requirement for very
complex electrical and mechanical modifications and Co-ordination with Maintenance, Quality and safety
department for Release of protocols of ER’s and FC’s.
 Carry out risk assessment for ER’s and FC’s as per OHSAS standards.
 Execute the 1st
train implementation of new ERs and provide the feedback to engineering team regarding any
deviations found at the time of modification for the correction of design and method statements.
 Some of the toughest modifications executed: Replacement of Transformer, Pantograph, PT, CT, Line Circuit
Breaker, door system re-installation, battery box replacement, 25KV cable replacements, HVAC
replacements, Central ceiling Replacements, Complete Grab pole and Grab rail Replacement, Air Supply
Generating Unit replacement, Relay valve replacement, complete under frame cable interlayer re-
installation, Neutral section detection Antenna replacement, Gangway Replacements, Permanent auto
coupler replacement.
 Some of the safety critical modifications: Complex electrical modifications for ATP/ATO system, Door System,
Brake Systems, HVAC system, MVB system, complete checking of IP system, Propulsion System, redundancy
of Emergency brake, TCMS systems.
 Perform Static test, Dynamic test and Service trail of Train after ERs and FCs executed and rectification of
failure.
 Co-ordination with DMRC for completion of ER’s and FC’s as per plan.
 Train, develop and counsel employees to develop a high performing team.
 Train technicians for new modifications.
