LHI is a German leasing company that was experiencing challenges with the performance and manageability of its SAP systems on its existing computing infrastructure. It implemented Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) technology to virtualize its SAP applications. This simplified LHI's data center infrastructure, reduced the number of physical servers from 50 to 9 blades, cut cabling by 80%, and decreased SAP deployment times from 5 days to just 30 minutes. The Cisco UCS solution also increased virtualization from 50% to 98% and reduced hardware, power, and cooling costs.
