According to studies from the Interdepartmental Neuroscience program at Northwestern University and the ManpowerGroup, American workers, especially Millennials, run the risk of being overworked and underexposed to sunlight as they balance the pressures of an always-on digital world.
This year, Corona Light is looking to change that by launching a new effort to encourage businesses to implement a ‘Citywide Leave at 5’ policy for employees on Monday, June 20th, The Lightest Day of the year.
Corona Light has created a ready-built presentation entitled “Step Into The Light: Why We Need To Leave The Office at 5 on The Lightest Day of the Year,” aimed at helping employees convince their bosses of the benefits of experiencing the Lightest Day.
Corona Light is also sponsoring Lightest Day celebrations on June 20th across Los Angeles, New York City and Chicago. Check out Corona Light on Facebook to find out more.

3. OVERVIEW
June 20th is the
summer solstice:
THE LIGHTEST
DAY of the Year.
The summer solstice occurs during a hemisphere's
summer, when the tilt of a planet's semi-axis is
most inclined toward the star that it orbits.
Because of this the summer solstice day has the
longest period of daylight. Across the world,
interpretation of the event varies among cultures,
but many recognize the event with holidays,
festivals and rituals.
Businesses worldwide have started to observe
Summer Solstice by allowing their employees
leave at 5 p.m. in order to enjoy natural light and
cold, refreshing light beer with coworkers on The
Lightest Day of the year.
