This presentation looks at why you need a strong Linked In profile, what that might look like, how you can improve your Linked In profile, and what results are possible if you do.
2. Why Maximize Your Linked In Profile?
• To clearly establish who you are and what you
do in a way that demonstrates you are an
authority in your industry
• It is an easy way for your prospects and leads
your business
• It can differentiate you from your competitors in
an elegant and yet powerful way
• It helps you and your business show up in Linked
In searches = more potential leads = more
potential business
3. What is a Linked In Profile?
• Think of it as a personal mini-website that
will allow you to establish your business
credentials for people with whom you
might want to do business
• It is an opportunity to give people a
reason to want to connect with you
• It is a competitive differentiator
• It is a key to revenue generation
4. Four Aspects to Leveraging LI
Findability
Visibility
Credibility
Profitability
5. Findability
• A complete, professional profile with a strong photo
• Include words in your summary that relate to your field
of expertise – this will make you easier to find when
people are searching for what you offer
• It will make your business easier to find online (better
search results) and help you all stand out from the
competition
• It will help you to ask for introductions to the people
with whom you want to cultivate a relationship
6. Findability
• Make sure you have your business name listed in several
places in your profile so it is clear where you work
• Include #hashtags at the bottom of your summary. They
will help you be found by people looking for what you
offer
• Hashtags/Keywords -- pick the 5-10 that are most
applicable to your business and insert them at the bottom
of your profile Summary. Some of the ones I use include:
• #contentmarketing #writingwithclarity #bookcoach
• #webcopy #contentwithclarity #speaker
• #internetmarketing #bookeditor #author
7. Visibility • Complete your profile, including
all relevant work history and
education
• Add some links to all relevant
company videos – for example,
these ones for my business:

ossmanComms/videos
8. Credibility
• Add any awards you’ve won, and
publications you’ve authored, to your
profile
• Again, your videos will add credibility, in
addition to visibility

company page and follow
it
