2. Turn Order
There are 4 phases for each player.
1. At the start of turn events
2. Moving cards into Mental Energy
3. Playing your card(s)
4. Drawing Up
3. 1. Start of turn events
These actions include things like:
Placing Defense Mechanism Cards
Using your Archetype Ability
Hero takes Phobias
Altruist takes another player’s baggage
Explorer trades for the top card in the discard pile
The Visionary looks at the top card in the deck
4. 2. Moving cards into Mental Energy
Cards are removed from your hand and placed
face down to represent available Mental
Energy. This is how you build up Mental Energy
for later use.
You may place any number of cards from your
hand into Mental Energy. From zero to your
entire hand.
5. 3. Playing your card(s)
During this phase you may play an Action and/or a Special card.
Place the card played in front of you.
Spend the appropriate amount of Mental Energy (discard face
down cards from your Mental Energy pile into the discard pile).
Make the changes indicated on the card that was just played.
Other players may play Reaction cards at this point in time.
6. 4. Drawing Up
To end your turn you will draw cards from the deck to fill your hand.
The number of cards drawn is 5 minus the number of cards in your
hand minus the number of baggage icons you have in play in front
of you.
If I have 2 cards in my hand and a card with 2 baggage icons in front of
me, I would then draw 1 card.
If a Phobia Card is drawn it is placed immediately and no card is
draw to replace it.
If a Defense Mechanism card is drawn, it MAY be placed at this
time.
