Already the Celts knew about
the ancestral thermal water of
El Alligal, that emerged free from
the ground. Its dynamism and
temperature evocate us to
legends and myths.

The      respect       for     the
horizontality of the landscape,
which names this Galician county
(Terra Cha, Plain Land), the visual
power of the clean solid granite
volumes and the wise discretion
of the local materials influences
decisively in the project.

Among the almost magical
atmosphere of this stunning
place, around the prominence of
water transparency, the most
eloquent silence of materials had
been the marked strategy in this
project.

Ya tenían los antiguos Celtas conocimiento de las
ancestrales aguas termales del Alligal, que
brotaban libres desde el suelo. Su dinamismo y
temperatura nos evocan a leyendas y mitos.

El respeto por la horizontalidad del paisaje que da
nombre a la comarca (Terra Chá, Tierra Plana), la
potencia de los volúmenes limpios de granito
macizo y la sabia discreción de los materiales
locales influyen decididamente en el proyecto.

En el ambiente casi mágico de este paraje
impactante, bajo la envolvente humedad de la
lluvia y de las emanantes aguas, el silencio más
elocuente de los materiales ha sido la marcada
estrategia de este proyecto.

This was the first project of
the Maria Jose Jove
Foundation in 2004, the first
fact to materialize all the
illusion and commitment for
the disadvantaged Childhood.
From the very first moment,
design was approached from
the point of view of a child
that met the Foundation and
its kindergarten: which human
values should he/she find?
The design follows 4 driving
forces, four principles that
any healthy child should be
brought up with: a warm
welcome, the feeling of
freedom, the desire of
growing, and the attitude of
service, shown by the
Foundation employees.
Area: 500 m²
Budget: 320 000 €
The first experience that
any child must have from
the Foundation is a warm
welcome.
It is expressed by a big
curved wall which hugs
whoever enters into, and
makes up the waiting room.

   The heart of the
   project is an indoor
   playground, sculpted by
   two convex bright
   walls.
   An expanded space to
   expand        children’s
   feelings.


       Children’s growth is
       expressed by the
       series of
       classrooms, which
       stick out to the
       corridor gradually.


       Service (admin) is
       what moves this
       organization; but
       service is quiet, so
       it must be
       developed in the
       background, behind
       the scenes,
       represented by the
       curved walls.

attract and shelter up to
80000 tourists.
Saïdia is conceived as the
condensation of the best
essences of Mediterranean
ancient cultures: Greek,
Roman, Hispanic, Ottoman
and Arabian. Its structure
evokes the traces that
the sea draws on the sand,
delicately and constantly
since eternity.
The numbers hardly tries to
define     this      ambitious
operation:

At the slopes of the
Pyrenees, the soft hillsides
of the Badaguas Golf slide
down. This developments
retakes and restores a rural
village totally deserted to fill
with a new life, a physical and
qualitative metamorphosis.
In bygone days where there
were only wind and loneliness,
there are now prosperity and
urban vitality, thank to a 4
stars hotel, a superb golf
course and a residential area
in which restored and new
dwellings are harmoniously
combined.

En las faldas del Pirineo Aragonés se deslizan las suaves lomas del Golf de Badaguás. Esta urbanización
recupera un núcleo rural completamente abandonado para infundirle una nueva vida, una metamorfosis física y
cualitativa.
Donde otrora sólo había viento y soledad hay ahora prosperidad y vitalidad urbana gracias a un hotel de 4
estrellas, un magnífico campo de golf y una zona residencial, en la que se combinan armónicamente las
viviendas nuevas y las rehabilitadas.

  • 4. SPA hotel 4* Villalba Lugo, Spain Already the Celts knew about the ancestral thermal water of El Alligal, that emerged free from the ground. Its dynamism and temperature evocate us to legends and myths. The respect for the horizontality of the landscape, which names this Galician county (Terra Cha, Plain Land), the visual power of the clean solid granite volumes and the wise discretion of the local materials influences decisively in the project. Among the almost magical atmosphere of this stunning place, around the prominence of water transparency, the most eloquent silence of materials had been the marked strategy in this project. Area: 4 000 m² Budget: 3,25M €
  • 5. Ya tenían los antiguos Celtas conocimiento de las ancestrales aguas termales del Alligal, que brotaban libres desde el suelo. Su dinamismo y temperatura nos evocan a leyendas y mitos. El respeto por la horizontalidad del paisaje que da nombre a la comarca (Terra Chá, Tierra Plana), la potencia de los volúmenes limpios de granito macizo y la sabia discreción de los materiales locales influyen decididamente en el proyecto. En el ambiente casi mágico de este paraje impactante, bajo la envolvente humedad de la lluvia y de las emanantes aguas, el silencio más elocuente de los materiales ha sido la marcada estrategia de este proyecto.   • 6. Kindergarten. Maria Jose Jove Foundation La Coruna, Spain This was the first project of the Maria Jose Jove Foundation in 2004, the first fact to materialize all the illusion and commitment for the disadvantaged Childhood. From the very first moment, design was approached from the point of view of a child that met the Foundation and its kindergarten: which human values should he/she find? The design follows 4 driving forces, four principles that any healthy child should be brought up with: a warm welcome, the feeling of freedom, the desire of growing, and the attitude of service, shown by the Foundation employees. Area: 500 m² Budget: 320 000 €
  • 7. The first experience that any child must have from the Foundation is a warm welcome. It is expressed by a big curved wall which hugs whoever enters into, and makes up the waiting room. The heart of the project is an indoor playground, sculpted by two convex bright walls. An expanded space to expand children’s feelings. Children’s growth is expressed by the series of classrooms, which stick out to the corridor gradually. Service (admin) is what moves this organization; but service is quiet, so it must be developed in the background, behind the scenes, represented by the curved walls.

  • 11. Won International Urban design project contest for a new Resort City to attract and shelter up to 80000 tourists. Saïdia is conceived as the condensation of the best essences of Mediterranean ancient cultures: Greek, Roman, Hispanic, Ottoman and Arabian. Its structure evokes the traces that the sea draws on the sand, delicately and constantly since eternity. The numbers hardly tries to define this ambitious operation:  708 Hectares of land, 1 Mm² buildable area,  7 Km of beach front  8 Hotels 4 - 5*  3 golf courses  Marina Saïdia: sport harbor  Residential typologies: condominiums, apartments and detached villas. Area: 7 150 000 m² Budget: 826M €
  • 12. Resiential & Golf Community Lomas de Badaguás, Jaca. Spain At the slopes of the Pyrenees, the soft hillsides of the Badaguas Golf slide down. This developments retakes and restores a rural village totally deserted to fill with a new life, a physical and qualitative metamorphosis. In bygone days where there were only wind and loneliness, there are now prosperity and urban vitality, thank to a 4 stars hotel, a superb golf course and a residential area in which restored and new dwellings are harmoniously combined.
