  1. 1. Office of State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick Rep. Kendrick: Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick was elected in 2010 as the 2nd youngest member of the Georgia Generable Assembly. She is a Democrat from the 93rd House District which includes East DeKalb (Lithonia and Stone Mountain) and South Gwinnett (Centerville area, unincorporated Snellville) and Loganville. She has been elected since 2010 and serves as the Ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Non-civil committee (criminal law), Juvenile Justice, Interstate Cooperation & Small Business & Jobs Creation Committee. She is a practicing securities attorney and registered investment advisor (GA). Job Title: Legislative Aide See below Date: 2021 Pre-legislative session Job Description: Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to): - Coordinates and executes special events under the Gold Dome and in the District - Manages other legislative aides to implement strategic goals and deadlines - Schedules and plans Rep. Kendrick’s appearances - Plans and executes ALL social media campaigns - Drafts and sends all press releases - Drafts, updates and sends ALL weekly e-newsletters - Sets up ALL press conferences and videos - Takes pictures and releases on social media - Plans events under the Gold Dome and in the District for Rep. Kendrick - Responds to all correspondence from constituents - Communicates with constituents and stake holders in the District - Helps Rep. Kendrick with pending legislation Availability Needed - Needed mostly Monday-Thursday from 9-2 pm IDEALLY but you can set hours. This is an IN PERSON position. Job Location: State Capitol (in person) Industry: Public Policy Job Role: Legislative Aide Start Date: January 11th until 1 week after Session ends (end of March or beginning of April usually) Weekly Commitment: 15 hours per week; you choose during normal business hours Employment Type: Intern Salary Range: $2,500 stipend Manages Others: Yes
