5. The instructions on this quiz require you to use the Respondus LockDown Browser and
it also provides a link to Respondus to download and install the Lockdown Browser. If
you’ve already installed it, open the application and navigate in Falcon Online back to
the quiz. If not, this presentation will give you an overview of that process.

9. RUN OR SAVE?
You want to save the .exe (executable) application file to your computer

Respondus will automatically
download to your computer’s
“Downloads” folder

11. “Double-click” the downloaded
.exe file to install it.
When it first opens it ask you to
choose your language… English.
Select “Next”

12. The InstallShield Wizard will guide you
through the installation.

13. With all application downloads you must first
accept the terms of the License Agreement or
or you cannot proceed with the installation.
Companies tend to make these exceedingly
long. But you are advised to always read
agreements before accepting them.
The default setting is “I do not agree” so that
you must manually change it to continue.

14. The installing begins with a progress bar
to let you see it‘s working.

15. Respondus is specifically made to work with INTERNET EXPLORER. You need
to download and install it if you don’t have it already on your computer. The
following link will help you configure Internet Explorer for Falcon Online.

(or ask if you want one) on your desktop.
Double-click the shortcut to start Respondus.

17. When you start the program it will ask
you to close other programs.

18. Login to Falcon Online. Select
your course, then select to open
the quiz requiring Respondus.
In Safari you’ll see a new set of Respondus
Lockdown Browser icons along the top of the
browser, along with the logo.
Hover over each for a short definition.

The version of your Mac’s operating system
should show in the side panel. Required
Operating Systems - Mac: OS X 10.7 or higher
