Good afternoon Manuka School, Parents and Vodafone warriors. On behalf of the WAB team I would like to welcome you to our special Warriors against bullies assembly
The first time the Wab team got together we were joined by members of the Vodafone warriors team, We had a great session learning about types of bullying and ways that we can stop bullying if we all work together.
We decided that bullying is when one person (or a group of people) target a person (or people) and consistently hurt them, hurt their feelings or damage their property on purpose. This includes name calling, hitting, emailing and texting, threatening and breaking peoples stuff. It does not include arguments and knocking into people by accident.
We were interested to find out that,…. when a junior class was asked about what bullies look like this is what they came up with.. We know that this is not true
Any one of us could be a bully
We would like Manuka School to come together and help us to kick bullying into touch
So manuka school- we want you to join with us in the mission to stop bullying. We hope you enjoyed our assembly.
