Acme Brick Company
Celebrates 125th
Birthday
Fort Worth, Texas - Acme Brick Company
celebrated its 125th year in business with
events at 66 offices and 22 brick and block
plants in 14 states. Each Acme plant and
sales office celebrated the company birthday
(Acme’s actual birthday was Sunday, April
17th) on Friday, April 15th with a large
birthday cake, and commemorative gifts for
employees. A 125 th birthday plaque was also
dedicated near the entry of each Acme sales
office and plant. At many offices, the city’s
mayor or a representative from the mayor’s
office attended the birthday party.
In addition, the governors of Tennessee,
Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and
Oklahoma issued proclamations declaring
Sunday, April 17th “Acme Brick Day” in
their state. Acme also received letters of
congratulations from the governors of Texas
and Kansas. It was a birthday to remember.
Acme was founded on April 17, 1891 just 26
years after the end of the Civil War and the
same year that James Naismith invented the
game of basketball. In 1891 Benjamin Harrison
was President of the U.S. and Thomas
Edison patented the “transmission of signals
electrically” otherwise known as radio!
Acme had its humble beginnings about
30 miles west of Fort Worth, Texas and has
grown to become the largest U.S. owned
brick company in the world. Acme residential
and commercial masonry products are
available throughout the U.S., and some areas
of Canada.
Acme’s core market is Texas and the
surrounding states of Oklahoma, Arkansas,
Louisiana, Alabama, Kansas, Missouri,
Tennessee, and portions of Georgia, South
Carolina, Florida, Colorado and Mississippi.

Trinity Falls Wins Master
Planned Community of the
Year Award
by the Dallas Builders Association
(May 11, 2016—McKINNEY) Trinity Falls
announced today that it was named the
prestigious Master-planned Community of
the Year-over 600 acres at the 37th Annual
McSAM Awards presented by the Dallas
Builders Association (DBA). The awards are
held each spring to recognize “maximum
creativity in sales and marketing.” More
than 300 entries were received this year and
winners were named in 58 categories with
Community of the Year the top award for
developers.
Judged by a panel of housing experts
from across the nation, Trinity Falls was
chosen for this award because of its beautiful
land plan, entry impact, unrivaled amenities
and overall sales success.
“We are extremely proud to win this
award recognizing Trinity Falls as the best
large master-planned community in the DFW
market,” said Leisha Ehlert, Vice President
of Asset Management and Development for
Castle Hill Partners, who is developing the
community. “We have worked very hard to

Trinity Falls also received four other
McSAM awards for outstanding marketing

Windsong Ranch Wins
People’s Choice Community
of the Year Award
by the Dallas Builders Association

announced today that it was named the
People’s Choice Community of the Year at the
37th Annual McSAM Awards presented by the

program is held each spring to recognize
outstanding achievement and “maximum
creativity in sales and marketing.” More
than 300 entries were received this year and
winners were named in 58 categories judged
by housing experts from across the country.
“The People’s Choice Award is THE
coveted award of the night because it is a
customer satisfaction award that shows our
success in creating the best community for
our homeowners,” said Craig Martin, Founding
Partner of Terra Verde Group, the developer
of Windsong Ranch. “Our residents ranked
Windsong highest in overall lifestyle, amenities
and customer service compared to all the
other communities in DFW.”
For the People’s Choice Award, a third
party research firm surveys homeowners from
each community entered and residents rate
their community in a variety of categories.
The winner is determined by the community
receiving the highest rating.

Windsong Ranch is being developed
by Terra Verde Group. The design team
includes Good, Fulton and Farrell as architect;
TBG as Master Planners and Landscape
Architect; Creative License International for
the Welcome Center design and interior

Windsong Ranch is located 2.5 miles west
of the Dallas North Tollway on the north
side of Highway 380 in Prosper, TX. Upon a
projected 8- to 10-year build-out, Windsong

Each Acme plant and sales office celebrated the company birthday (Acme’s actual birthday was Sunday, April 17th) on Friday, April 15th with a large birthday cake, and commemorative gifts for employees. A 125 th birthday plaque was also dedicated near the entry of each Acme sales office and plant. At many offices, the city’s mayor or a representative from the mayor’s office attended the birthday party. In addition, the governors of Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Oklahoma issued proclamations declaring Sunday, April 17th “Acme Brick Day” in their state. Acme also received letters of congratulations from the governors of Texas and Kansas. It was a birthday to remember. Acme was founded on April 17, 1891 just 26 years after the end of the Civil War and the same year that James Naismith invented the game of basketball. In 1891 Benjamin Harrison was President of the U.S. and Thomas Edison patented the “transmission of signals electrically” otherwise known as radio!
