What is NFC?

 Based on RFID technology at 13,56 MHz
 Two-way communication between endpoints including RFID standards (ISO 14443) and FeliCa
 Founded in 2004 by Philips, Nokia and bSony
 Active and passive NFC mode at different transfer speeds from 106 to 424 kbps
 The reading distance is within 10cm
