upgrade and enhance them to advance endlessly.

scale battles with the guild system.
ekkorr.inc
Ⅳ. Introducing Endless Frontier
Plan / Concept
• Tired of playing complicated RPGs? Here is a REALLY, REALLY easy RPG that doesn’t even need a tutorial.
• An ‘idle-style game’ that progresses to be stronger by itself, without frequent log-ins.
• A game that is enjoyable to watch, with unique units from various types of races.
• A game that allows players to become as strong as they want, with enjoyable collecting/upgrading system (soldiers, relics, skills)
• A competitive system between players, never seen before in an idle-style game (PvP, Guild Battle, Guild Raid)
ekkorr.inc
Main Concepts of Endless Frontier
• Easy to Play RPG
– A game without a tutorial
– Zero-Depth
• A game that you can delve into at its start
– Let’s hook the players at the game’s first 1, 3 and 10 minute marks.
• A game that you can play for a long time
– A game that players can enjoy for at least a year
• A game that maintains the user pool
– Build strong loyalty among the existing users
ekkorr.inc
A. Easy to Play RPG
• An RPG that doesn’t have a tutorial
• The biggest reason behind the complexity of RPGs is the unit ‘Gacha’ system !
– In order to get hundreds of units via Gacha, the game needs inventory expansion system.
– In order to pick a few units out from hundreds, the game needs a team composition screen that
allows the creation of teams.
– Most units from Gacha are useless  Need a system that allows for the use of these ‘useless’ units.
• Enhance, Evolve, Fuse, Transcend, Awaken!
– Unit Gacha system increases the complexity of RPGs.
• Progresses the beginning of the game with no questions or choices given to the players
– Nothing is demanded from or asked to the players during the first 30 minutes of gameplay (such as
race/element/name/nickname/ID, etc. )
• Automatically gives an ID and automatically logs the player in
– After the first 30 minutes, the game will ask the player for their name upon entering PvP content
for the first time.
ekkorr.inc
B. A game that players can DELVE in
• Hook players in at the start with INFLATION
– Players love big numbers!
• What’s the difference between a $10 poker game and a $1,000 poker game?
• Make big numbers even bigger… Let’s not put a limit to the numbers
• Millions, Billions, Trillions… 1E+30, 1E+50, 1E+300
• Make small numbers even smaller..
• 1 minute , 5m, 10m, 1 hour, 6h, 24h quest  1 second, 5s, 10s, 1 minute, 5m, 10m quest
– Allow fast income with 1 second, 5 second quests!
• Increase interest at the beginning
– The difference in income between quests are 100 fold to 1,000 fold
• Fast Inflation  Increases interest at the beginning
• Fast introduction to Reincarnation ! (30minutes for the first reincarnation )
– Allows for easy understanding of the game
– Tap Titan requires at least 6 hours for its first reincarnation, and usually 2-3 days
ekkorr.inc
C. A game that you can play for a long time(Over 1 year)
• Variety can create a depth in game contents!
– Variety of Units (RPG with flying units )
Obvious difference between a land
unit and a flying unit
ekkorr.inc
C. A game that you can play for a long time(Over 1 year)
• 4 Races and a clear contrast between them (Humans, Elves, Undead, Orcs)
• A clear difference between ground and sky
• A clear contrast between magical attacks and physical attacks
– Allows for easy understanding with magic immunity and physical immunity (barrier)
• i.e. : Types of ranged units? Race( 4 ) x Flying/Ground( 2 ) x Physical/Magical( 2 )  At least 16 types
– Attack Type (Single Target/Area Effect), Defensive Type, Healer Type, Support Type…
Magical

Physical

C. A game that you can play for a long time(Over 1 year)
• NEVER STOP A PLAYER FROM GROWING STRONGER!!
• A measure put in place to prevent rapid consumption of content
– Ordinary RPG
• Prevents progression with various limitations
• Various limitations set to prevent players from leveling up
– Endless Frontier
• No maximum enhance level ( Level 300, 1,000, 3,000…)
• Over 5,000 stages
• The higher the stage, the longer the reincarnation time -> various system to aid in faster stage
clearing, includes buffs -> a system that allows around 5 reincarnations a day -> continuous
support for player growth
• Allow leveling up even when players are offline (Offline March )
– Limited by factors such as phone battery and time -> upon logging in later, players find that game
has been progressing and income has been made continuously.
ekkorr.inc
Distinguishing Point
• Designing Hurdle Points(Allow players to accept it naturally! Especially the beginning)
– Ordinary RPG
• As players progress naturally, players run into a stronger opponent than themselves!!
– Opponent’s attack/HP is much higher than players micro-transaction starts?
– Turn the game into a grind-fest with no goal
– Endless Frontier
• As players progress naturally, players run into a monster with physical immunity barrier!!
– Check the current stock of units in possession, and create goal to get units with magical
attacks.
– Find proper solutions rather than turning the game into a grind-fest or ‘cash-eating’
game.
• Players run into a flying unit that ignores friendly units and attacks the base directly!!
– Players use cost-efficient units from the start of the game, but they realize that they
need a unit with range capabilities. -> A new goal is made.
• Never make a player’s effort and time(resources) useless.
– Key resource should never disappear(100% refund)
– Even if a player makes a mistake, the key resource is still there so no worries about losing precious
time and effort spent. (we play games to have fun!)
• NEVER BOTHER THE PLAYERS’ LEVEL UP PROGRESS!
ekkorr.inc
Distinguishing Point
• Utilize the advantage of TCG type RPG
– A game that allows different strategies with team compositions!
– Tower of Trials
• Players challenge themselves for 3 days at the 30 floors of the tower
• The content of the 30th floor changes every 3 days, giving players incentives to try
• A mini game that requires optimal solutions due to various limitations and requirements
– Restrictions on Orcs, Humans, and Ranged Units
– Restrictions on Female, 4-Star or Higher, and Flying Units
• Although it is an idle-style game, offer player vs. player content.
– Infinite Ranking Matches
• Resets every 4 days
• C League  B League  A League  S League
• Top 50% of the league are promoted to the higher league, and the rest stay within the current
league
– Daily Ranking Matches
• PvP content that makes players try to reach the highest floor within 24 hours.
• 500 vs 500 Guild Battle
ekkorr.inc
Direction of Ekkorr
• Secure VIP Players
– If a player spends a certain amount of money even once, send a VIP invitation to the
player and register the player as VIP.
– Upon becoming a VIP
• Give 500 Gems immediately, and additional rewards on various events.
• VIP benefit for future Ekkorr games
– Currently have about 10,000 VIP players (in Korea)
• Gift over 300 gems to all players on daily basis (around 3,000 won in worth)
– Makes players think the game cares its players and offer small gifts to earn their favors
– In truth, there is a player that has spent over $10,000 and many more players who have
spent more than $2,000.
• The Happiness of $1 Event
– Increased Buyer Conversion Rate from 6% to 10%
– There may be players who have NEVER spent money, but there are no players who
spent only ONCE!
• Players that received errors upon payment
– Give additional 30-40% of the product along with an apology message.
– Change angry players into loyal players!!

  • 6. ekkorr.inc Ⅳ. Introducing Endless Frontier Game Name : Endless Frontier Genre : Idle Inflation RPG Description : ‘Endless Frontier’ is an Epic RPG that has a unique game play It has over 5,000 maps with vast scenarios, and players can collect over 100 different types of unique heroes to upgrade and enhance them to advance endlessly. Also, players can use materials gathered from dungeons to upgrade over 100 different types of relics to be stronger. Players can enjoy PvP against other players in opposing Knight Orders, and players can enjoy a large scale battles with the guild system.
  • 7. ekkorr.inc Ⅳ. Introducing Endless Frontier Plan / Concept • Tired of playing complicated RPGs? Here is a REALLY, REALLY easy RPG that doesn’t even need a tutorial. • An ‘idle-style game’ that progresses to be stronger by itself, without frequent log-ins. • A game that is enjoyable to watch, with unique units from various types of races. • A game that allows players to become as strong as they want, with enjoyable collecting/upgrading system (soldiers, relics, skills) • A competitive system between players, never seen before in an idle-style game (PvP, Guild Battle, Guild Raid)
  • 8. ekkorr.inc Main Concepts of Endless Frontier • Easy to Play RPG – A game without a tutorial – Zero-Depth • A game that you can delve into at its start – Let’s hook the players at the game’s first 1, 3 and 10 minute marks. • A game that you can play for a long time – A game that players can enjoy for at least a year • A game that maintains the user pool – Build strong loyalty among the existing users
  • 9. ekkorr.inc A. Easy to Play RPG • An RPG that doesn’t have a tutorial • The biggest reason behind the complexity of RPGs is the unit ‘Gacha’ system ! – In order to get hundreds of units via Gacha, the game needs inventory expansion system. – In order to pick a few units out from hundreds, the game needs a team composition screen that allows the creation of teams. – Most units from Gacha are useless  Need a system that allows for the use of these ‘useless’ units. • Enhance, Evolve, Fuse, Transcend, Awaken! – Unit Gacha system increases the complexity of RPGs. • Progresses the beginning of the game with no questions or choices given to the players – Nothing is demanded from or asked to the players during the first 30 minutes of gameplay (such as race/element/name/nickname/ID, etc. ) • Automatically gives an ID and automatically logs the player in – After the first 30 minutes, the game will ask the player for their name upon entering PvP content for the first time.
  • 10. ekkorr.inc B. A game that players can DELVE in • Hook players in at the start with INFLATION – Players love big numbers! • What’s the difference between a $10 poker game and a $1,000 poker game? • Make big numbers even bigger… Let’s not put a limit to the numbers • Millions, Billions, Trillions… 1E+30, 1E+50, 1E+300 • Make small numbers even smaller.. • 1 minute , 5m, 10m, 1 hour, 6h, 24h quest  1 second, 5s, 10s, 1 minute, 5m, 10m quest – Allow fast income with 1 second, 5 second quests! • Increase interest at the beginning – The difference in income between quests are 100 fold to 1,000 fold • Fast Inflation  Increases interest at the beginning • Fast introduction to Reincarnation ! (30minutes for the first reincarnation ) – Allows for easy understanding of the game – Tap Titan requires at least 6 hours for its first reincarnation, and usually 2-3 days
  • 11. ekkorr.inc C. A game that you can play for a long time(Over 1 year) • Variety can create a depth in game contents! – Variety of Units (RPG with flying units ) Obvious difference between a land unit and a flying unit
  • 12. ekkorr.inc C. A game that you can play for a long time(Over 1 year) • 4 Races and a clear contrast between them (Humans, Elves, Undead, Orcs) • A clear difference between ground and sky • A clear contrast between magical attacks and physical attacks – Allows for easy understanding with magic immunity and physical immunity (barrier) • i.e. : Types of ranged units? Race( 4 ) x Flying/Ground( 2 ) x Physical/Magical( 2 )  At least 16 types – Attack Type (Single Target/Area Effect), Defensive Type, Healer Type, Support Type… Magical damage immunity Physical damage immunity
  • 13. ekkorr.inc C. A game that you can play for a long time(Over 1 year) • NEVER STOP A PLAYER FROM GROWING STRONGER!! • A measure put in place to prevent rapid consumption of content – Ordinary RPG • Prevents progression with various limitations • Various limitations set to prevent players from leveling up – Endless Frontier • No maximum enhance level ( Level 300, 1,000, 3,000…) • Over 5,000 stages • The higher the stage, the longer the reincarnation time -> various system to aid in faster stage clearing, includes buffs -> a system that allows around 5 reincarnations a day -> continuous support for player growth • Allow leveling up even when players are offline (Offline March ) – Limited by factors such as phone battery and time -> upon logging in later, players find that game has been progressing and income has been made continuously.
  • 14. ekkorr.inc Distinguishing Point • Designing Hurdle Points(Allow players to accept it naturally! Especially the beginning) – Ordinary RPG • As players progress naturally, players run into a stronger opponent than themselves!! – Opponent’s attack/HP is much higher than players micro-transaction starts? – Turn the game into a grind-fest with no goal – Endless Frontier • As players progress naturally, players run into a monster with physical immunity barrier!! – Check the current stock of units in possession, and create goal to get units with magical attacks. – Find proper solutions rather than turning the game into a grind-fest or ‘cash-eating’ game. • Players run into a flying unit that ignores friendly units and attacks the base directly!! – Players use cost-efficient units from the start of the game, but they realize that they need a unit with range capabilities. -> A new goal is made. • Never make a player’s effort and time(resources) useless. – Key resource should never disappear(100% refund) – Even if a player makes a mistake, the key resource is still there so no worries about losing precious time and effort spent. (we play games to have fun!) • NEVER BOTHER THE PLAYERS’ LEVEL UP PROGRESS!
  • 15. ekkorr.inc Distinguishing Point • Utilize the advantage of TCG type RPG – A game that allows different strategies with team compositions! – Tower of Trials • Players challenge themselves for 3 days at the 30 floors of the tower • The content of the 30th floor changes every 3 days, giving players incentives to try • A mini game that requires optimal solutions due to various limitations and requirements – Restrictions on Orcs, Humans, and Ranged Units – Restrictions on Female, 4-Star or Higher, and Flying Units • Although it is an idle-style game, offer player vs. player content. – Infinite Ranking Matches • Resets every 4 days • C League  B League  A League  S League • Top 50% of the league are promoted to the higher league, and the rest stay within the current league – Daily Ranking Matches • PvP content that makes players try to reach the highest floor within 24 hours. • 500 vs 500 Guild Battle
  • 16. ekkorr.inc Direction of Ekkorr • Secure VIP Players – If a player spends a certain amount of money even once, send a VIP invitation to the player and register the player as VIP. – Upon becoming a VIP • Give 500 Gems immediately, and additional rewards on various events. • VIP benefit for future Ekkorr games – Currently have about 10,000 VIP players (in Korea) • Gift over 300 gems to all players on daily basis (around 3,000 won in worth) – Makes players think the game cares its players and offer small gifts to earn their favors – In truth, there is a player that has spent over $10,000 and many more players who have spent more than $2,000. • The Happiness of $1 Event – Increased Buyer Conversion Rate from 6% to 10% – There may be players who have NEVER spent money, but there are no players who spent only ONCE! • Players that received errors upon payment – Give additional 30-40% of the product along with an apology message. – Change angry players into loyal players!!
  • 18. ekkorr.inc Service Index in Korea • From October 2015 to April 22nd, 2016 – Buyer Conversion Rate : 6.40% – ARPU : 4,300 Won – ARPPU : 66,700 Won – Retention : 55% / 28% / 22% ( 1day/7day/30day ) • Index after February 1st, 2016 – Buyer Conversion Rate : 10% – ARPU : 5,100 Won – ARPPU : 67,000 Won – Retention : 63% / 38% / 26% ( 1day/7day/30day )
