have done since we first opened. We work
on not only their domestic exhibitions and
communications, but more importantly give
graphic production solutions for their global
exhibition commitments. We have several

November’s MPH show in London and
Birmingham: we were given the task of
researching and providing a new style of
stand-alone bannerstand system to compliment
the stand. The stand-alone graphic display units
were to replace standard bannerstand systems
and were required to look great, be strong and
sturdy and able to be variably arranged, and
allow graphics to be removed and re-used/
replaced in future shows. The Centro2 systems
were sourced, graphics produced and both
graphics and systems installed on-site.
We have continuously supported their team at
head office, on London’s Southbank, including
face to face meetings from the early stages
of design, to working closely with their build
teams here and abroad, ensuring their graphic
printing and installation meets their exact brand
requirements, here and on a global scale.

The project involved various materials (some,
especially researched for this project) from
Digital Wallpaper, printed clear film to glass,
and large Transparency walls . Four Graphics
produced what must be one of the most
impressive interiors Job’s ever undertaken by a
Large Format Graphics Company.
We put in place a full time team for some
8 months to fulfill this project which was in
excess of $800,000.00. The project was
managed from on-site in Bahrain, using print
production in our Dubai and London offices.

16. At Four Graphics we have always invested in
the latest technologies available that meet our
clients’ very high expectations in print quality.
Direct to Media Printing
Although digital direct to media printing has
been in our industry for the past 5 years it has
only recently reached a level of quality that is
acceptable to Four Graphics and our Clients,
We can now print at an amazing 1000 dpi
with UV cured inks that are colourfast and
weatherproof direct to boards such as
Foamboard, Foamex and acrylic to mention
just a few.
We are also able to print white ink so
different colour boards can now be utilised.
By implementing this new technology it has
forwarded Four Graphics vast improvements in
production by reducing processes.
8-Colour UV Ink Jets
The latest 8-Colour Inkjet machines offer
unrivalled quality and colour accuracy. Now
utilising both light grey and photo black, as well
as light magenta & light cyan, to further enhance
the image quality. These machines can also cater
for media rolls up to 60” wide, and media types
including paper, backlit film, canvas and foils.
Solvent Print & Solvent Print
& Cut
Solvent machines have been with the large
format print industry since the evolution of digital
print. The latest technologies now offer sublime
print quality for large banner runs and outdoor
events, along with the added advantage now
of a print and cut facility. This facility allows
production of intricate cutting of print on vinyl
for application to any sub-straight. This again
has reduced production time and improved the
overall quality of our product.

Technology
17. During 2011 we updated out plant to include
Direct to Media technology, allowing less
product to be used compared with previous
works. Typically we are seeing a 40% reduction
in raw material usage and a reduction in
electricity due to fewer processes used to obtain
job completion.
In 2012 we have monitored our performance
and are very encouraged at a reduction of
our overall CO2e footprint by 13% to 3.09
tonnes per staff member (industry average 5.09
tonnes) giving the total footprint at 23.2 tonnes
compared to 26.2 for the year ending 2011.
We take your environmental policy very seriously,
always striving to better our performance with
reference to our CO2e footprint. We achieve this
by involving all our staff members to look at all
aspects of our business to find ways to minimise
our CO2e impact.
Four Graphics recognises that its largest impact
on the environment is power consumption
and plastic usage. Since joining the Carbon
Smart program in 2011 our goals for reduction
have remained the same, that being an over all
reduction of 14% over 3 years.
Four Graphics are
proud to be a part
of the Carbon Smart
program and are
thrilled at achieving
the rigorous
requirements
necessary to achieve
the Silver award

The biggest area of saving was in Natural Gas
Consumption, this saving being a direct result of
investing in latest technology so moving away
from old processes.
In 2013 further monitoring procedures are being
implemented, those being monthly updates
for all CO2e related processes. We are also
dedicating a team member not only to monitor
our performance but to also prepare and
implement an necessary changes required to
achieve the ISO 14001 accreditation which we
have applied for.
We are continually pushing all out suppliers
to improve their product range by including
biodegradable plastics and FSC and/or PFEC
papers. We constantly look at and revise our
environmental policy as the industry changes
so quickly with reference to new technology in
plant and new materials.
18. We endeavour to ensure that all aspects of our
business are conducted in accordance with
sound environmental practices. We will achieve
this by:
-Minimising the consumption of natural
resources and energy, whilst consuming
material goods as responsibly as possible.
-Reducing the creation of waste by the adoption
of improved operating practices and by the
recycling of materials when practical.
-Ensuring all waste is disposed of in a safe and
responsible manner.
-Investing in the development of new processes
and procedures throughout our organisation
to improve and constantly monitor our
performance regarding environmental impact.
-Complying with environmental legislation.
Four Graphics aims to foster among its staff,
suppliers and customers an understanding
of environmental issues in the context of its
business. Our collective task is to ensure that
we continually improve the environmental impact
of our activities both in the UK and globally.
By this policy, we recognise our responsibility
towards protection of the environment, and
issue this statement as a commitment of both
management and employees to minimising the
environmental impact of our operations.
The Three ‘R’s
Recycle – always recycle where possible and
use bio-degradable media if possible
Reduce – chose to manufacture using thinner
media, less ink, and be conscious of minimizing
off-cuts wastage
Re-Use – use old hardware systems and
substrates where possible wherever possible.
We take our environmental policy very seriously
always striving to better our performance with
reference to our CO2e footprint. We achieve this
by involving all our staff members to look at all
aspect of our business to find ways to minimise
our CO2e impact. We at Four Graphics have
a goal over the next 3 years to reduce our
carbon footprint by 14%. Already recognised
by industry standards to fall at the lower end
of CO2e per staff member (at 3.4 tonnes
compared to the average of 5.1 tonnes industry
typical); we are encouraged at our performance,
but not complacent. Four Graphics recognises
that its largest impact on the environment is
power consumption and plastic usage. During
2011 we updated our plant to include direct to
media technology, allowing less product to be
used compared with previous works. Typically
we are seeing a 40% reduction in raw materials
usage and a reduction in electricity due to
