 City & Guilds Exams are written twice in a year.
(June & December)
 Exams are conducted by the British Council
here in Nigeria.
 Exam Fees range between NGN 11,800 to
NGN 22,000 depending on the component
you wish to take. i.e. You pay per subject.

to proceed for Post Graduate Studies
after the Advanced Diploma in any of
the Universites here in Nigeria.

MODE OF OPERATIONS
The course runs for 18 months : Four
semesters of three (4) months each for
each of these three (3) levels:
CERTIFICATE LEVEL: for candidates that
doesn’t have any prior knowledge in the
field.
Especially School Certificate Holder. U
will be awarded with Technician
Certificate.
Diploma Level: Scaling through this stage,
you will be awarded Technician Diploma.
Advanced Diploma: You will be awarded
Questions about City & Guilds.
 What grades do they award?
The grades awarded are: First Class Pass, Pass or
Fail
 What information do I get with my
results?
For candidates that fail the exam they also provide a
report with performance codes that gives you a
clearer indication of the areas of weakness in your
examination, providing you with key information to
help you target your remedial work.
 How will I receive my results?
You will receive your results through your exam
centre. City & Guilds informs each centre directly.
Que: How long does my certificate
last?
Ans: The certificate is valid indefinitely.
 What if I fail part of the exams can
I retake that section?
Unfortunately, if you fail an exam because of your
performance on a single section of the exam, you need to
retake the whole exam.
 What To Bring To The Exam :
 Please bring a valid international passport or drivers
license.
 Please note: No phones or electronic devices will be
allowed into the exam venue. If your pencil case is not
transparent it will not be allowed into the venue.
 Where can I sit my exam?
 Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano.

University (NOUN).
The National Open University of Nigeria is Nigeria's

History of Noun .
The National Open University was initially
established on 22nd July 1983 as springboard for
open and distance learning in Nigeria. It was
suspended by the government on 25th April
1984. However, its tremendous and unassailable
role in tackling the country’s educational
problems including access, equity, and education
for all became so evident and consequently its
resuscitation was begun on the 12th of April
2001.
Programme Delivery Method
The NOUN employs a range of delivery methods to take education to the
people and make learning an enjoyable activity. These methods include:
• Printed instructional materials, audio, video tapes
and CD-ROMs. These would be transported to you
by courier companies, NIPOST and NOUN's in-
house transport division.
•  Television and radio broadcast of educational
programmes .
•  Electronic transmission of materials in
multimedia (voice, data, graphics, video) over fixed
line (telephone or leased lines), terrestrial and VSAT
wireless communication systems.
NOUN STUDY CENTRES
The reading and studying of the printed course materials can
of course take place in the home, in an environment
convenient to the student or at some designated places
called Study Centres.
These are places located across the geopolitical zones of the

You will receive your results through your exam centre. City & Guilds informs each centre directly.
  • 19. Que: How long does my certificate last? Ans: The certificate is valid indefinitely.  What if I fail part of the exams can I retake that section? Unfortunately, if you fail an exam because of your performance on a single section of the exam, you need to retake the whole exam.  What To Bring To The Exam :  Please bring a valid international passport or drivers license.  Please note: No phones or electronic devices will be allowed into the exam venue.
