Conduction
Conduction is the transfer of thermal energy
by crashing between surrounding atoms or
molecules. Conduction happens more easily in
solids and liquids considering the particles are
in closer proximity than in gases because the
particles are positioned further apart.

Convection is the transfer of thermal energy
by particles moving through a fluid (either a
gas or a liquid). The moving fluid carries
energy with it. The fluid flows from a high
temperature location to a low temperature
location.
