1. Mary Rodwell (3 pm to 4:30 pm): The Keynote Speaker will be arriving all the way
from Australia, Mary Rodwell, the world’s premier researcher on UFO related Contact
Experiencers. Mary is one of the Co-Founders and is on the Board of Directors of the Dr.
Edgar Mitchell FREE Foundation. Mary is a pioneer in this field and has assisted over
3,000 Experiencers over the last 35 years. Mary is a former State Registered Nurse and
State Certified Midwife, health educator, counselor and clinical hypnotherapist for the
National Health Service (UK.) Mary is also the Principal and Founder of the Australian
Close Encounter Resource Network (ACERN). Mary specializes in holistic counseling
support and explores this phenomenon with a metaphysical multidimensional
perspective. She has worked with over 3000 individuals and their families globally. She
has authored numerous articles on this phenomenon and presently writes regularly for UFO
Truth Magazine (UK) The Indian UFO magazine, Oddities, occasionally specialist articles

4. 2. Dr. Bob Davis (1:30 pm to 3 pm): Dr. Davis is a member of the FREE Board of
Directors and together with retired professor Dr. Jon Klimo and Rey Hernandez, is a Co-
Chair of the FREE Experiencer Research Study. Robert Davis, Ph.D. is an
internationally recognized scientist in his field, and served as a professor at the
State University of New York for over 30 years. He graduated with a B.A. and M.A.
from the City University of New York and with a Ph.D. in Sensory Science from
The Ohio State University. Dr. Davis has published over 60 articles in scholarly
journals, lectured at national and international scientific conferences, and was
awarded several major research grants. Dr. Davis serves as a member of the Board
of Directors and Research Team of the Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for
Research into Extraterrestrial and Extraordinary Experiences (FREE) which was
established to provide a scientific exploration of the relationship between science,
consciousness, and spirituality. He has co-authored articles based on the FREE
research which has been published in the Journal of Consciousness, and the
Journal of Scientific Exploration. Dr. Davis has also written two books entitled:
The UFO Phenomenon: Should I Believe? and Life after Death: An
Analysis of the Evidence, and has lectured on these topics, and the FREE
research, at both national and international conferences.

5. 3. Dr. Joseph Burkes (11:30 am to 12:30 pm): Joseph is a Board Certified Internal
Medicine physician. He retired from the Southern California Permanente Group after
30 years of service in 2008. During the 1960s through the 1980s he was a peace and social
justice activist working with Physicians For Social Responsibility, The United Farm
Workers Union and pro-labor coalitions that were part of the occupational health and
safety movement. For 5 years he was closely associated with Dr Steven Greer’s Close
Encounters of the Fifth Kind Initiative before resigning in 1998. He has facilitated
human initiated encounters with UFOs in California, Mexico and the UK and
Canada, working with CSETI, MUFON and the Peruvian contact network known as
Mission Rama.

6. 4. Rey Hernandez (10 am to 11:30 am). Rey is one of the 4 Co-Founders and Co-Chair
of the Research Committee of the Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into
Extraterrestrial and Extraordinary Experiences (FREE). He has co-authored articles based
on the FREE research which has been published in the Journal of Consciousness, and the
Journal of Society for Scientific Exploration. Rey graduated with honors from Rutgers
College, was a Masters Candidate at Cornell University and was a Ph.D. Candidate at U.C.
Berkeley in City and Regional Planning where he was the recipient of a National Science
Foundation Ph.D. Fellowship. He was an Adjunct Professor for 6 years at the New School
for Social Research and at the City University of New York. He was also the Director of
the Center for a Sustainable Urban Environment at the City University of New York and
Director of the Office of Environmental Quality for the City of New York. Rey is
currently an Estate Tax Attorney with the US Dept of Treasury and resides in Miami,
Florida with his family.
Paranormal Experiences: Rey and his entire family have had conscious physical contact
with non-human intelligence, an Energy Being, which began in March of 2012 in their
living room, where a miraculous medical healing occurred. All of his family members
have had different contact with large UFOs, one time, in August of 2012, with a football
stadium sized craft that was at a distance of only 30 feet from Rey and his then 10 year old
daughter, which hovered in silence over them for more than 45 minutes. His family has
also had numerous paranormal experiences, including Out of Body Experiences, which
lead to the creation of FREE, and a simulated NDE experiences over a 3 day period.
Before March of 2012, Rey was totally ignorant of UFOs and the “paranormal” and was an

The Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial and
Extraordinary Experiences, or FREE is a registered 501c3 academic research institute that
is comprised of 11 retired Ph.D. academics and lay researchers exploring "What is
Consciousness" by undertaking cross comparative research on individuals that have had
contact with Non Human Intelligence (NHI) via the “CONTACT MODALITIES”
(contact via perceived UFOs, NDEs, OBEs, Remote Viewing, Channeling, Ghosts/Spirits,
Hallucinogenic Journeys, Orbs, PSI Contact, etc). The Co-Founders of FREE are the late
Dr. Edgar Mitchell, Harvard Astrophysicst Dr. Rudy Schild, Australian researcher Mary
Rodwell, and Miami researcher Rey Hernandez.
The FREE organization is not a Ufology organization. Instead, our mission is to
explore the possible nature of “Consciousness” by conducting comprehensive academic
research on the various extraordinary experiences within the Contact Modalities. The

9. majority of the FREE Board of Directors, including the late Dr. Edgar Mitchell, believe that
the field of what we know as "Ufology" is a very limited paradigm to understand what is
really happening with "UFO Contact" because it is primarily focused on a rudimentary
"Nuts & Bolts" approach. Dr. Mitchell firmly believed that the "Experiencer" of contact
with non human intelligence is the "Key" that will open the door towards understanding
“What is Consciousness and Contact with NHI”. FREE hypothesizes that a cross
comparative research of “Experiencers” of the Contact Modalities may provide insight into
the validity of various models of consciousness. Once the cross comparative research has
been undertaken among the various Contact Modalities, numerous commonalities will be
derived that are shared between all of these experiences. All of the variables identified by
all of the Experiencers of the various Contact Modalities can then be utilized in trying to
develop a viable hypothesis for a "Unification Theory of Consciousness and Contact with
NHI".
In addition, FREE hypothesizes that all of these Contact Modalities are in fact one
phenomenon and should not be studied as separate phenomena which is the modus
operandi of the research organizations associated with these fields. This is a limited "stove
pipe" approach that does not recognize the numerous commonalities shared by each of
these Contact Modalities. Many researchers such as ESP Researcher Dr. Dean Radin, NDE
researcher Dr. Kenneth Ring, UFO researcher Dr. Jacques Valle, academic astrophysicist
Dr. Rudy Schild, Princeton trained Ph.D. Physcist Dr. Claude Swanson, Ph.D.
Neuroscientist Dr. Bob Davis, retired Ph.D. academic Dr. Jon Klimo, paranormal/UFO
researcher Dr. John Alexander, paranormal researcher Brad Steiger, and even the late Dr.
Edgar Mitchell, and so many others, have publicly expressed that there is a possibility that
ALL of these "paranormal contact phenomena" might in fact be one phenomenon being
expressed via different modalities.
The majority of our FREE Board of Directors hypothesize that all of these Contact
Modalities are interconnected through what is commonly called Consciousness and that
advanced physics, in particular, the Quantum Hologram Theory of Physics and
Consciousness (QHTC), as developed by the late Dr. Edgar Mitchell, one of FREE’s Co-
Founders, can possibly begin to provide a rudimentary understanding how all of these
diverse paranormal “Contact Modalities" are interrelated. The QHTC and two corollary
models, the Magnetic Eternally Collapsing Object (MECO), as articulated by FREE
Executive Director Dr. Rudy Schild, and the Synchronized Universe Model (SUM)
developed by Dr. Claude Swanson, a member of the FREE Board of Director’s, attempt to
provide a physics-based scientific explanation to the nature of our reality, “paranormal
contact experiences” and non-ordinary states of consciousness. Combined, the QHTC,
MECO and the SUM Models, suggest that we might live in a multi-dimensional reality
and, within this construct, humans are having contact with NHI in multiple formats, or
“Contact Modalities.” Each of these three physics based Consciousness models will be
prominently featured in our book under the section titled: What is the Relationship
Between Consciousness and Contact?

10. FREE also acknowledges that there are limitations to a purely physics-based
approach to the understanding of Consciousness and a possible “Unified Field Theory of
the Paranormal Contact Modalities”. To this end we will also be presenting 3 additional
articles, written by Dr. Jon Klimo, Giorgio Piacenza, and Rey Hernandez that will provide
additional epistemological models of Consciousness integrating physics, philosophical,
and spiritual based arguments of “Consciousness and Contact.” These integrative theories
incorporate the role of consciousness, spirituality and paranormal phenomena and may be
viewed as additional components of a possible “Unified Field Theory of the Contact
Modalities.” Eventually, FREE plans to add to this model the comparative data findings
from our future academic research study on ALL of the Contact Modalities which we
believe is the necessary ingredient that might aide us to begin to solve this complex riddle
of “What is Consciousness and Contact”.
The next section of our book is titled The FREE Experiencer Research Study. We
decided to commence our research on the Contact Modalities on the phenomena of UFO
related contact with NHI, instead of one of the other Contact Modalities, for the simple
fact that there was minimal academic research on this topic. Even though there was much
literature in this field, almost all of it was filled with thousands of anecdotal
INDIVIDUAL case histories of individual experiences. No one had undertaken a
systematic comprehensive quantitative and qualitative academic research study, in
multiple languages, in multiple counties, on this topic. There have been small statistical
studies, but these were limited to less than 50 participants and the topic questions were
always limited to limited topic areas, such as the “abduction scenario” and the surveys
were comprised of less than 50 questions. The candidates were also self selected which
biased the data results. Therefore, in order to undertake a cross comparative analysis of
the Contact Modalities, we needed to first establish a scientific statistical baseline to truly
understand the UFO related contact Phenomena.
FREE is in the process of completing the first comprehensive multilingual
international research study on individuals that have had UFO related contact with NHI.
The FREE Experiencer Research Study is comprised of 4 Phases. Phase 1 and 2 are
comprised of two quantitative surveys totaling almost 600 questions. Phase 3 is our
qualitative survey instrument comprised of written responses to 70 open ended questions.
Phase 4 will be formal interviews with selected survey participants. To date, over 3,500
subjects have participated in our English Language Phase 1 survey from over 110 different
countries. We also have our surveys running in Spanish, German, French, Slovak, and
soon in Cantonese Chinese.
The section of our book titled The FREE Experiencer Research Study will have
two academic articles. The first is a statistical analysis of the Phase 1 and 2 data from our
FREE Experiencer Research Study. This academic paper will soon be published in the
Journal of the Society for Scientific Exploration, with 6 of FREE’s academics as co-
authors. The second academic research article contained in this section is being authored
by retired university professor, and FREE Co-Chair, Dr. Jon Klimo, who is taking the lead

11. in analyzing our Phase 3 qualitative research data. Dr. Klimo is in the process of
completing this academic research article which will be submitted to a suitable academic
journal in the very near future.
The third section is titled Thematic Chapter Topic Areas. This section will contain
12 separate chapters, each focusing on a specific thematic topic area. Each of these topic
chapters will focus on the data results for each topic area from our FREE Experiencer
Research Study. We will focus on the following topics: Psychological Transformation;
Spiritual Transformation; Medial Healings; Similarities between UFO Contact and NDEs
and OBEs; Messages received form NHI; Telepathic Downloads of Science, Physics, and
Technology; Ecological Messages Received from NHI; Kundalini Experiences of UFO
Contact Experiencers; and to address the question if the Experiencers consider themselves
to be Abductees or Contactees.
The next section is our Conclusion which will be written by the world’s most
renowned authority on “Paranormal Contact”, Brad Steiger. Brad Steiger has written over
175 books with over 17 million copies in print, and has written more than 2,000
paranormal themed articles. He indeed is the world’s most respected expert on the
similarities between the Paranormal and UFO related contact with Non Human

Susan Manewich: President of the New Energy Movement, and served as the Director at
the Resonance Project Foundation. She is an author, lecturer, and consultant in the fields
of emotional intelligence, resonant technology and human dynamics. She was also a
participant of Dr. John Mack’s PEER group at Harvard University.
Miguel Mendonca: Author of several books and articles on sustainability and renewable
