that matches the form and function of the platform upon which it appears,
essentially an advert within a platform of media.

■
YouTube Content Creators
■ Another example of advertising is within YouTube videos. For example a video would
be focuses on playing a game, however the content creator would mention an
accessory he or she would happen to be using, and would speak of it highly,
essentially promotion the item.
■
4. Why does Native advertising exist?
■ In an age where consumers are constantly bombarded with adverts on TV or the
web, consumers become annoyed with the amount they see.
■ Paid services such as Netflix, younow and amazon prime, do not advertise anything
apart from there own shows or deals. However sites such as YouTube or indie-
websites thrive on adverts, as that is how financial incomes are generated.
■ Nevertheless, groups of people use a software or web extension such as AdBlocker
to avoid adverts popping up and simply getting rid of them, to never see them
again, until they disable the adblocker.
■ That is when native advertising comes in to play, it is a win-win situation for content
creators as well as companies trying to promote their product.
