INTRODUCTION
NOMEX is a long chain polyamide.
Is made from meta-phenylenediamine and
isophthaloyl chloride.
It is less rigid because the bends in the
polymer chain.
The polymer is spun into a fiber.
Nomex is also made into sheets of paper and
then formed into honeycomb shapes.
