The rising pressure for introducing cloud technology into the data center is seen as a big challenge for the processes in an IT organization. On the other hand side most of the technology specialists are very keen on cloud technology. A clear understanding of the motivation and the goal for deploying cloud technology is a must. This session distinguishes two different business motivations for using cloud technology in a data center. The respective scenarios are shown and for each scenario the impact on the cloud introduction project is described with a specific focus on the infrastructure design and the expected options for the future.
