THE VALISE…
AUTHORS BIO:
Ginger Marcinkowski was born as one of eight siblings in
northern Maine along the Canadian border, a setting that
played a prominent role in her first two novels.
Her debut novel, Run, River Currents, was published in
August 2012, was a 2012 semi-finalist in the ACFW Genesis
Awards and a 2013 Kindle Book Award Finalist, also winning
honorable mentions in other national awards and festivals.
Her latest release, The Button Legacy: Emily's Inheritance, is
the full story of the Polk family’s journey of faith told
through buttons collected over generations. Emily's
Inheritance concludes Run, River Currents dramatic story of
healing and forgiveness.
Ginger has been a public speaker and visiting lecturer for
over 25 years. She has been a professional reader for the
James Jones First Novel Award and has been a judge for the
ACFW 's prestigious Carol Awards. She is actively involved in
the Hampton Roads Writers Association and is a member of
the ACFW and AWP Writer's Associations.
An interesting fact about Ginger is that she is a million-mile
flier with United Airlines and was a multi-million dollar
sales agent for a travel agency for over 13 years in Elkhart,
Indiana. Her experiences are the catalyst for a new series of
cozy mysteries whose main characters are involved in
travel and tourism.
The first novel in the cozy mystery Travel Girl’s Series
introduces the women of the First Bank Travel Agency and the
Elkhart County Visitor’s Bureau as they become embroiled in
an international crime spree that ends with the untimely death
of one of the county’s beloved politicians. The mystery opens
the door to new friendships and old rivalry’s and forces the
bosses of the two competing agencies to join forces to solve
the crimes before they lose one of their own.
Set in Elkhart, Indiana, The RV Capital of the World and
home to the nation’s second largest Amish population, this
eclectic group of clashing personalities make the international
hunt for the perpetrator’s a rollicking journey as the women of
travel and tourism team their wits to solve the crimes being
committed in their Sister City of Burton-Upon-Trent, England
and their own Amish Community.
The Valise is the first in the new Travel Girls Mystery Series
where location and mayhem collide in exotic destinations
across the globe.
