Ethics, a very important part of psychological research which play major role in the conduction of psychological research it's about the moral values and social norms which applies to all Researchers and there are a comprehensive guidelines about ethics given by American Psychological Association 2013 listed in this presentation.
2. Introduction
• Ethics refers to the correct rules of conduct
necessary when carrying out research. We have
a moral responsibility to protect research
participants from harm.
• In Britain ethical guidelines for research are
published by the British Psychological
Society and in America by the American
Psychological Association.
• Purpose of these codes of conduct is to protect
research participants, the reputation of
psychology and psychologists themselves.
3. Ethical Factors

Never any pressuring of participants.
• Safety
Safety of participants essential.
• Credit
Every researcher must receive precise, appropriate
credit.
• Communicate
One should try to make results known to participants.
• Ill Usage of Research
One should be conscious of possible bad uses of
research.
5. Informed Consent
• Purpose of the research.
• Procedures involved in the research.
• All foreseeable risks and discomforts to the
participant (if there are any). These include not only
physical injury but also possible psychological.
• Benefits of the research to society and possibly to
the individual human subject.
• Length of time the subject is expected to
participate.
• Person to contact for answers to questions or in
the event of injury or emergency.
• Subjects' right to confidentiality and the right to
withdraw from the study at any time without any
consequences.
6. Deception
• Some times for researcher its not possible
to explain all process with participants.
• Debriefing before experiment may affect
result.
• Researcher should adopt this process if
their have no other option .
7. Protection of Participants
• Researcher should be take responsibility
of participants physical & mental harms.
• Researcher must be understand / familiar
with animal participants & expert in taking
care of them.
• Researcher Should have advance
Knowledge in biomedical & participant
behaviors for their welfare .
8. Confidentiality
• Researcher must be ask to participants
before publish or share them with other.
• Researcher should keep all data and don’t
share with any ones
• Researcher should be take responsibility
of participants privacy .
9. Withdrawal
• Participants have right to withdrawal from
investigation at any time.
• Researcher can not do forcefully
investigation with participants.
10. Debrief
• Participants have right to ask question
about the result & research.
• Researcher should provide knowledge
about the research and should gives
answers of participant questions.
• Researcher must be informer participants
about their rights ,they can withdraw any
time from research .
