The document discusses the work of the Foundation Partnership for Road Safety in Georgia. It aims to reduce traffic accidents through mobilizing joint efforts across sectors. Key projects include increasing seatbelt use, youth road safety education, and monitoring air quality. Through public awareness campaigns and coalition building, seatbelt usage increased and traffic fatalities decreased between 2008 and 2011. Road hazard reporting and children's safety are also areas of focus. The foundation collaborates internationally on road safety initiatives.

How does it work?
The project allows citizens throughout all regions of Georgia to
report hazardous traffic infrastructure and traffic accidents in
their neighborhood using SMS and a website.
On the website www.megobruligzebi.ge all these citizen
reports are shown on an interactive map together with official
data on traffic accidents, to create the first publicly
accessible overview of traffic hazards in Georgia.

How is the data being used?
Resolution of local hazards – involving decision makers
and participating citizens
Analytical reports and solution of black spots
Advocating safer roads with donors, local authorities and
citizens
