Creating food sculptures for primary art classes. Meet Claes Oldenburg and the Pop Art movement that took over the world. This simple presentation is for young artists to identify the world of sculpting with everyday items, like food.
2. Why Food as Art?
People
relate to food so easily.
Artists use the subject because it is simple!
Think about how many times you think of
food or eat each day?
Why not make food into an art form?
5. Pop Art in 3D Form
Remember, Pop Art is taking POPULAR
CULTURE or things we see/do everyday!
6. Your Turn!
Use toilet paper to create your favorite food
sculpture. Dip it in gluey water and begin
sculpting. Remember to squeeze the extra
water out. Try to make it look JUST like the
real thing. Fill your plate up! We will paint
these next club meeting.
