About Aguascalientes
• International firms corroborate the strategic
position of Aguascalientes. Multinational
companies such as Daimler, Bosch, Nissan,
Calsonic Kansei, Donaldson, Flextronics, Jatco,
among many others, have established and grown
in the state.
• Aguascalientes is an orderly, safe and clean state,
positioning itself as a leader in terms of urban
planning and investment attraction.
• Its competitive workforce consists of more than
half a million people, mostly young individuals with
a median age of 24 years, and with the highest
level of schooling (9.2 years) well above the
national average (8.6 years).
• The automotive sector will be the leading activity in
the state, with a production that will exceed one
million vehicles per year. It will benefit every
productive, commercial and service areas, turning
the state of Aguascalientes into the most influential
production and supply center in Latin America.

About GIRAA: Aguascalientes Automotive Cluster
• The Cluster was legally incorporated in September
of 2013.
• Self-sustained Cluster of suppliers of the
automotive industry, focused on generating value
to the network of affiliated companies through
establishing business relationships with OEM
companies, their supply chain and educational and
government institutions.
• The organizational structure of GIRAA is based on
the work of several committees led by company
owners and directors and focused on achieving
the strategic objectives and the vision of the
Cluster.

Objectives:
• Expand the German-Mexican Automotive Dialogue (new bilateral Mexican-German
Cluster cooperation between Aguascalientes and Baden-Württemberg)
• Linkage to the VDA supplier round table in Mexico
• The German-Mexican Automotive Forum serves as a platform for member economy
officials and senior industry representatives to work together to map-out strategies
for increasing the integration and development of the automotive sector between
Germany and Mexico.
