APIOps is an extension of DevOps focused on APIs that aims to improve collaboration, automation, processes, measurement, and sharing focused on APIs. It advocates for treating everything as code including configurations, policies, and specifications to enable continuous integration and deployment of APIs. Kong is an example of a tool that can be used to implement APIOps through its support for spec-first API design, transforming specifications into declarative configurations, and deploying configurations across environments.
