Police Check and Working With Children’s Check
Career Summary
For the last (almost) nine years I have been working as an Employment Consultant with Workways Australia.
Due to our unsuccessful tender for the 2015-2020 contract, I have found myself in the position of being un
employed as of the 30th
of June 2015. Although disappointed, I look forward to the next chapter in my
career, preferably in the employment services industry.
I love working with people to achieve their employment and educational goals and aspirations. For many
clients, the emotional and financial stress of being unemployed can be overwhelming, empowering clients to
draw on their strengths and resilience and helping identify their skills is extremely satisfying.
Although I have written many a resume and application letter, I find myself wondering what I have, that is
unique to all the other people out looking for work. My work colleagues would say, I have a “will do”
attitude and an absolute determination to not give up on my clients. I pride myself in thinking “outside the
box” and am passionate about rebuilding client’s confidence and helping them realise their potential. After
many years of working in the employment sector, I have a solid working knowledge of the local area and a
strong network of contacts which I believe would be an asset to any team.
