methods debt collectors use to contact them and the kind of
information debt collectors can share with others. While it generally
is a good idea to speak with a debt collector at least once to see if
the debt issue can be resolved, further contact with the collector can
be prohibited.
You can stop the debt collector from contacting you by sending an
official request in writing asking the collector to cease further contact.
