The purpose of this slide deck is to explicate and visualise what design is and why it matters (in an infomodel), as we perceive how Kenya Hara discusses it in "Designing Design". We then took two examples from his exhibit, "Senseware" to reinforce our understanding of it in what he applies to his own work. 7. Kenya Hara assigned a different artificial
senseware
material to each collaborator, inspiring a
wide range of interesting showcases. “I
wanted each artist to visualize the
functionality of the product but not to
worry about the difficulties of manufacturing
the idea for mass consumption,” said Hara.
“Inspiration was the function.”

8. Toys Comprising Visible Air
Art director Kashiwa Sato used a highly elastic
monofilament fiber known as BREATHAIR to
create blocks for young children.
These lightweight cubes can be used to build or
pile onto one another for children to climb on
top or play with. Being 95% air, BREATHAIR is
lightweight with superior capability to maintain
its elasticity
