'Atlantic Radio' has won the new local commercial FM radio licence to
broadcast to 410,000 adults in Cornwall. It will provide a full-service station
with news, information and talk, combined with adult-orientated music for an
audience of 25-54 year olds.
The station’s board includes former Capital Radio CEO Richard Eyre as
chairman, Tindle Radio CEO Kevin Stewart, 'Newquay Voice' owner/editor
Andrew Laming and radio consultant Jeremy Scott. The company is backed by
Tindle Radio (47%), Richard Eyre (6%) and an investor partnership that
includes Jeremy Scott (13%), Andrew Laming (13%) and Mark Flanagan (5%).
