Guido Gianasso is a leading expert in human resources and global leadership development.
He has extensive managerial, business advisory and teaching experience and held several
senior Human Resources positions in Switzerland, Italy, India and the United States.
Dr. Gianasso worked for the World Bank, United Nations and several leading multi-national
corporations in the Financial and Chemical industries. The focus of his professional and
academic work is on change management in international organisations and transitional
economies as well as on cultural intelligence.
Guido Gianasso is currently Chief Human Resources Officer and member of the Executive
Committee at SICPA, a privately owned company providing secured identification, traceability
and authentication solutions and services. With 3.000 staff in 30 countries, SICPA is a leading
security provider and adviser to governments, central banks and industry.
In addition to his role at SICPA, Dr. Gianasso serves on the Supervisory Board of
Eurocontrol, Brussels. He is also an Adjunct Professor with the Division of Strategy,
Management and Organization at Nanyang Business School in Singapore.
From 2003 to 2013 Guido Gianasso was the IATA’s Vice President of Human Capital. He led
the global HR function as well as the IATA Training and Development Institute (ITDI), the
external arm of IATA which trains over 50.000 industry specialists every year.
For several years, he served as Vice-President of the Diplomatic Club of Geneva and in
2001-2 he acted as Senior Advisor to the Romanian Minister for Foreign Affairs on Public
Administration Reform.
An Italian national, Dr. Gianasso holds a PhD in Management and a DES in Law from the
University of Geneva. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.
He is a fluent speaker in Italian, English, French, Spanish and Romanian.
