Anniversary Conference
The HKIBIM Conference aims to explore BIM's practice focusing on information management in different stages and
disciplines. We maximise BIM's capacity from the model to its applications in facilitating project management, construction
process control, risk management, and multi-disciplinary collaborations.
Themed "From BIM to Build Asset Information Management", the HKIBIM 10th
Anniversary Conference will be held on 9
January 2020.

manufacturing, financing, insurance, risk management and legal – are expected from submissions, in order to showcase
achievements in a manageable system, emphasising accuracy, productivity and cost effectiveness.

Presentation Format
- All presentations must be in English and will be limited to 20-25 minutes.
- All presentations must be accompanied with a visual aid (i.e. PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi, animation or video) and
accompanied by computer projection.
- All presentations must be original, unpublished and not submitted concurrently for presentation or publication
elsewhere.
Submission and Assessment Guidelines
To qualify for acceptance as a speaker, you are invited to submit an abstract that must meet all of the following requirements:
- In fewer than 500 words, the abstract must clearly demonstrate the relevant context, knowledge and experience in
applying Building Information Modelling.
- The topic and content must include at least one of the suggested conference topics. They must be able to
demonstrate the practical use of BIM as evidenced by real cases or projects.
- Each paper that covers multiple disciplines must include at least two of the following disciplines: architecture,
building construction, civil engineering, interior design, IT and programming, manufacturing, financing, insurance, risk
management and legal. Integrated multi-discipline models are preferred.
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically in MS Word DOC format by email to: hkibim@creativegp.com
Publication Rights
By submitting a paper to the conference, the authors give the right to HKIBIM to publish the abstract, full presentation, visual
aid and video footage of the full presentation. Manuscripts of papers will not generally be returned to the authors. Authors are
reminded to keep a second copy of their paper for the conference. Where the organiser may need to amend the content and
format of the paper, authors are assumed to give consent and authorise the organiser to amend and publish the abstract
and full presentation paper, and to include them in any conference publication.
