2. INTRODUCTION
• The spread of corona virus is the most
devastating global health security threat in
decades.
• The crisis has transformed into an economic and
labour market shock affecting not only supply but
also demand (consumption and investment).
• Over stretch of health sector personnel and a
wide gap in man power needed to attend to both
covid19 pandemic and other illnesses
• Real threat of decline in governments’ revenue
(Aviation, Hospitality and tourism)
3. IMPACTS OF COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND
SENSITIZATION ON COVID 19 PANDEMIC
• One of the most effective ways we can
prevent the spread of covid19 and limit its
impact on fragile health system is by building
peoples knowledge and sensitization.
• “When people are actively engaged in efforts
to improve their own lives and that of their
neighbours, they become more aware and
committed to solving problems”.
4. The RCE MINNA COVID 19 OUTREACH
As part of RCE’S mandate of providing important
tool for social transformation (formal & non
formal learning in local environment). RCE Minna
started a covid19 outreach on 25th march, 2020
The specific objectives for the outreach were to;
• Take information to the communities directly
• Dispel myths/rumours
• Provide personal protective equipments
• Collaborate with relevant stake holders to help in
preventing the outbreak of covid 19 pandemic

SENSITIZE HIM ON COVID19
12. CONCLUSION
• RCE MINNA is committed to championing the
course to bring an end to the dreaded covid19
pandemic.
• RCE MINNA will continue to work with relevant
stake holders and government to offer advice on
practical ways corona virus can be prevented and
controlled and also prepare against possible future
pandemic.
• All knowledge shared in this conference will be put
together and made available to relevant stake
holders and government to serve as an additional
guide towards providing lasting solutions to the
Covid19 pandemic and also providing sustainable,
habitable environment for all.
