How does your media product represent particular social groups?
A group of people who share common goals and beliefs. What is a Social Group?
Subculture The results of my questionnaire prove that the target audience prefer Indie/Rock/Alternative genre of music, therefore throughout this magazine, the language and images connote the Indie style. There are many iconic features throughout appealing to the true music fans. The representation of the magazine portrays clear knowledge of the Indie genre of music, emphasising that the target audience is aimed at a young, enthusiastic music fan, revealing the Indie subculture!
My Music magazine is directed at a specific social group; Indie. It is evident that the target audience is of the Indie genre due to the bands featured, mode of address and typography used. Live!’s Target Social Group
